This spot is absolutely wild, I swear, it’s a glitch in the matrix. The abandoned motel is HUGE! It’s parking lot wraps around the hill, and connects to another lot where a Visitor Center used to be. Great views. Someone else is up here though. Just doing laps in a car, coming up towards me and then driving away :/ They’ve driven by twice. I moved. Found a whole other driveway/road/maze that goes in a big circle up some weird ass hills. A random tow truck is sitting there. 10pm on a Wednesday. I park at the top. Same fkn car drives by again.

I did a lap again. When I came back to that 2nd spot there was some guy walkin around. I hurried away once he saw my headlights, I stopped and he was just standing in the bushes lookin shady as hell. I left after that, slept at Cracker Barrel.

Weird spot. Proceed with caution.

PS- there is not one single “NO TRESPASSING” sign

Pulled in to the (closed) motel parking lot behind a sheriff car and asked him about parking overnight there and he said it was private property and had a no trespassing order on it but directed us to the old visitor center through the parking lot instead.

motel is closed but has a caretaker. visitor center is better. BUT be advised it is popular (3 - 5 cars) at sunset, teenagers hanging out until midnight, and a lot of traffic through the night. I'd go to Walmart if I knew how much activity would occur throughout the night.
