We stopped here but didn’t stay. We went around to the Dyea flats city campground found it much nicer.
Report Check-InThis is a great campground for $10 including wood - nice aromatic dry cedar..
Confused as to the $10 US or CAD because they insist on putting USD in the envelope... Stayed 2 nights.
Very rustic campground. Free split firewood! Pit toilets. Bear proof trash cans. The sites are large, mostly flat and far apart. $10/night. Skagway is about 8 miles away by road. Although other reviews have indicated that it’s big rig friendly, I’m not sure a class A or big 5th wheel would find getting here easy. I’d think twice if you’re over 30’.
If you go past the campground continuing on Dyea Rd, pass the trailhead and cross the bridge. Bear to the left and eventually you’ll come to municipal recreation campground. Very nice spot. However no water or free wood. $10/night.
Report Check-InAs described, $10 per night USD or CAD, free firewood in bins, kindling in a bin near end of campground. A few sites are gravel parking with nice gravel tent pads, others are dirt. Mixed bag of level and unlevel sites. I think the Dyea Municipal CG is nicer overall, but this has free wood for the same price, and is slightly closer to town, albeit negligible. Both about 20-40% full each night this week.
Report Check-In$10 or $5 with senior pass. Nice with lots of firewood. Clean. Most lots have many trees. Not many mosquitoes when I was there. Walk to picnic area by the entrance to watch the river.
Report Check-Inwe choose Nr 16, very big place and more Light (less trees), its a packed, small sandy road from skagway, 10$ Envelope System, firewood, pittoresken, tables, perfect
Report Check-InGreat sites with lists of shade. There are two other Campgrounds down the road but there is a bridge that is 11 FEET. So if you’re tall beware of this! So we could only stay at the first one because of our hight. 12 feet.
Report Check-InBeautiful campground with pit toilets, fire rings and nice really big spots, we were the only ones there. The road there was not icy and we had no issues going there with our 27ft RV. Nice historic site of the town nearby.
Report Check-InGreat Campground! Quite and big spots. $10 a night US or Canadian. Mostly empty when we were here. Free firewood
Report Check-Innice campground, may - sept. 10 US $ or 10 CAN $ , the other time free, about 20 sites, picnic tables and fire rings
