In front of Mataquac Provincial Park. right next to the St John River. Space for plenty of RVs. no 'no parking' sign. easy access to water and right off route 105. Some grass for tents. Gets easily flooded on rainy days though.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We stayed at this great spot two nights going to and from Nova Scotia. Nobody else here except a few cars visiting now and then. Lots of space and level for our truck and 5th wheel. Quiet.
Report Check-InPerfect spot to spend the night. Super calm, just the sound of water and cars passing by.
Report Check-InNice spot for camping (on the dry). When I arrived there was one more car "overnighting". I managed to see a skunk (that was growling when I was in my tent) and a scary creature in the river that turned to be a huge snake water (at night it looked more like a crocodile lol). Try not to camp here in rainy days (it gets really muddy).
Report Check-Inclean area, great view, lots of parking space. few other campers that night.
Report Check-Inquiet and beautiful. a few campers came and went during the past couple of days and some boaters came down to launch their boat into the water. other than that, quite nice. I wouldn't suggest going in the water unless you are wearing shoes because there were some people down here fishing and who knows how many hooks got lost in the water over time
Report Check-InPerfect spot for an overnight. Boat launch was relatively busy but once the sun set we were alone with another couple that camped in their car
Report Check-InGreat place. Lots of room. Right on water as described. Nice sunset. Picnic table. No “no parking” signs. Boat launch.
Report Check-InBeautiful place, right next to the river. Next a road, which is not super busy. No WiFi though, but plenty of room for rv’s, tents and caravans
Report Check-InStill beautiful place except for some German guy who comes every night to check out the campers
Report Check-InBeautiful location just off the highway on the St John River. Grassy area, picnic table and fire pit. Quiet and serene we are the only ones here
Report Check-InExcellent little park-up. Lots of room for our 20' van. Just mind the boat launch.
Report Check-InTrès bel endroit au bord du fleuve ! beaucoup d'espace et 1 table à picnic!
Aucune pancarte de "No overnight" !
Report Check-InGreat place suitable for larger RV’s (ours is 25ft. ) We parked away from the boat launch by the trees. Locals came and went. No issues. Bit of a slope but we got level ok. Much more room than the closer parking old ferry spot and better access.
Report Check-InGreat place to stay for a night. Although, at night, 5-6 cars came over and make noise with there cars and put loud music till the early morning. I sincerly recomend the place for staying a night for the view, but, not for the ambiance. It seems to be the place to partying for the locals.
also, no sigh "no overnight here", "no dogs alowed" or what ever.
in front of Mataquac provincial parc. right next to the St John River. place for plenty of rvs. no no parking sign. easy access to water and right off route 105. a Little bit of Grass for tents.
