Excelente atención. Hermosos lugares.
Baños muy aseados.

As everyone agrees, this is a very friendly and welcoming and excellent place to visit Silvia and surroundings, especially also for travelers with children! There are “glamping” huts with beds and room for tents.
Any size rig will fit in meadow next to the family house, where there are clean showers and toilets with seats, paper, and soap by the sinks. There are comfortable common areas which the family shares in and around the house, and where there is good wifi.
It’s an easy walk to the market, arts and crafts, and other stores in Silvia.

Report Check-In

Very nice campground at walking distance of the center of town. Easy to reach, even with a bigger RV.
We were recieved and treated up on as friends/family.

This is a really beautiful place, owned by a very nice family. Theo is so a good host and, as already mentioned in previous notes, offer a very interesting and free tour around the village and in the Tuesday indigenous market (beautiful and colorful). He knows everything and everybody here and lot of people speak lovely with him along the trip. He is available to help for anything you could need. We overnighted for free in the grassy field close to his house, with big space also for big rigs. We also had a good lunch (Johanna is very good in the kitchen) for a very reasonable price. They also offer possibility of overnighting in tents or in rooms. Don't miss the Tuesday indigenous market and don't miss this wanderful plece.

10 000 ppn

Lovely camping in Silvia. Parking for vehicles is on the other side of the creek from the main camping area so WiFi didn’t reach and it’s a tiny trek to the toilet but a very pretty one. The hammocks and fire pit in the main camping area are lovely and we enjoyed watching the herons fly home at sunset. They were having some difficulties with hot water for the showers while we were there but it just took some work and everything was ok.

Such a welcoming family! My daughter played with the 2 kids most of the time we were there, the parents invited us in for a potluck dinner one evening and to go hiking with them another day, felt like we were part of the family for a week. Clean toilets, hot showers, sink for washing dishes, faucet and hose to refill your van water tank, laundry machine, easy walk into town.

The best place to stay in Silvia. Theo and Yohana and his family are so nice and will do everything so you have the best time in Silvia and you feel at home. Theo helped to organise a visit to an indigena's house, fish 'trucha', go to the medicinal plant hospital and to the market: a unique experience. Tell him what you are looking for and they will help. In their place, there is everything you need: electricity, water, dump, wifi, playground, washing machine. They even organised a dinner and offered lunch. They also have a food truck in the town, best fajitas and burgers we had ! The name of their house is La Casa de Los Suenos. 10m big rig can get and fit in (flat) and it is close to the town centre square

Report Check-In

Agree with all previous comments. We were travelling 2 up and didn't ring prior but were still welcomed to be able to camp for 10000pp per night. we have added a heap of photos. its a five minute walk into town and little things like "cleaning schedules" listed in showers for when they were cleaned last. Best of all it was peaceful with just the sounds if the nearby river. Big rigs, trucks, campers should have no issues as they own the block next door and there doesnt appear to be any height restrictions(see photos). Not sure if wifi reaches the next door block....but not a show stopper. The town itself is also great....all up one of our mist enjoyable stops

If you are visiting Silvia, then the Casa of Theo and Yohana a very good choise! Perfect place to visit the market on tuesday. Extremly friendly and helpfull family. The Food at their Foodtruck in the center, left to the church, is recommended, best Burger we got until now.

Really welcoming family, they make you feel part of the family and invited us over in the evening for great conversations in simple Spanish.
It is your choice what you pay them. You are free to use the washing machine. Internet works really good.
They also have a great Glaming area with tents and everything.
We had a really great time there!

We spent three great days with Theo, Yohana and family. They are a really welcoming family. We can highly recommend this place! Come to Silvia and spend time with that lovely family! They explained a lot about the Tuesday market. And despite we don’t speak that much spanish it was easy to have great conversations together! Also with our dog it was great to stay here - it is plenty of space to walk!

Theo drives with us to the Indigenas and we get good informations. Thank you very much.

Report Check-In

A very good place to visit the market of the Indigenas on Tuesday. 10 minutes to town by feet. The place has two parts and two gates. One gate is the entrance for glambing and 50 meters down the street is the entrance for motorhomes. No height limit. It a green area and space for about 5 motorhomes. From there you can use the toilets and showers of the glambing area. Short way to there, 30 meters, very clean. WiFi fast. Theo and his family are very friendly. They have a food truck in town with very good sandwiches, burgers and so on. It is at a corner of Parque Principal on the left side of the church, is called “unKua”. We recommend this place.

They have glamping, camping, rooms, and places for overland vehicles. They offer bike rentals, laundry, and tours of the unique town Silvia. Their food trailer in town has delicious food at greta prices.
Of course, the best part of La Casa is the wonderful family. Theo, Johana, MariaJose, and Matias are very friendly and welcoming. Thank you!

Really good!!! We've met Theo and Yohanna but staid in the Atsmani Family's house, friends of Theo and Yohanna, and we felt like part of the family. Silvia is a little town with good mood, and staying with them was so good! You will be host by travel lovers, and hosting lovers!!!

The Location is Great, the Experience is even Greater and the hosts are simple the BEST.Theo and Yohana are now on the process of opening a eco park that I am sure would make your stay in Silvia even more memorable.

Theo and Yohana are great! We contacted them by whatsapp when we arrived in Silvia. They were traveling with their family and were not at home. But they organized a guy who get us to their old property. We could spend the night there in our rig with a great view over Silvia. We get the key for the house and could use the whole property. It was secure to let the car there when we visited the market. Thank you Theo y Yohana for your great hospitality!

Report Check-In

As all comments mentioned previously, Theo and Yohana are really nice people and spend lots of times with us. They have 2 kids which enjoyed to play a lot with ours. We highly recommend to stop there in this great family.

Super rencontre !

Theo and Yohana have temporarily moved to a new property. Please disregard previous directions from other travelers. Look for park and Lago Chiman. We've updated Coordinates.

Report Check-In

Such lovely people with 2 delightful children. Access not easy unless in small vehicle. (We just made it in our Mercedes Benz 810D, 2.85 m high, 6.4 m long & 2.2 m wide.) Difficult to find. Maps Me & our Garmin Sat Nav tried to take us the wrong way. At the edge of Silvia (after driving through the town) where the road divides in front of the large beige and light brown walled statue of a rather small Mary/Maria (see picture) take the LEFT fork (Calle 19) NOT the right, go up the hill about 300 m and turn sharp right on a sharp right hand bend, by the pale green and cream bungalow on the right (see picture) and a house on the left, facing you, which divides the narrow dirt track from the road. Take the first dirt track right off this and follow the track round about 300 m to the yellow gate with white posts on the left. V narrow. Invited us to share meals with them and took us on a guided walking/driving tour of Silvia! There's a lot more to see here than just the gorgeous market. Would not take payment so we paid for a take away pizza, shared food and gave them some money anyway. Planning to go Overlanding themselves in 2017.

Report Check-In

Such a wonderful stay with a beautiful family! Teo and Johana love hosting overlanders and are even planning a long-term road trip themselves. Be sure to text or call them because sometimes they go to Cali to visit family on the weekends. They also wanted us to mention that they would be moving to a bigger property in Sylvia in the near future to more comfortably host travelers (another reason to call or text them in advance). Wifi, hot shower, bathroom, and incredible company!

Report Check-In
