Best place in SF !!!
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Sign says no motor homes/ vehicles over 22 feet long- or 7 feet high. As we are over those measurements we moved down the road to Crissy beach- much more big rig friendly and just as nice:)
Report Check-Inno motorhomes, no overnight, no cars over 22 Feet long and 7 feet high
Report Check-InGreat place to park and hang out. We walked down to fisherman’s wharf and our vehicle was safe here. There was a park ranger that ticketed two motor homes parked by us. I asked why he was ticketing them and he said that motor homes are not allowed in this parking lot. We were in a truck with truck camper and he said that we were fine.
Report Check-InPeople out exercising and hanging out. Busy, but plenty of parking. Old folks hanging out in their cars made me feel safe lol. Good spot to take a breather, though getting through the streets of SF was nerve wracking.
Report Check-InReally pretty and mellow place to park if you just need a daytime spot. The spots are van sized, not RV sized.
Report Check-InWe parked our 40 foot bus here over several spots during the day three days in a row without issue. Park patrol and police roll by very frequently and didnt bother us while we made supper. one night another skoolie rolled up and ended up repairing his parking brake in the parkinglot with lots of tools out still nobody bothered us. It seemed pretty safe to us.
Report Check-InWe parked here with our 27 feet van and because of it’s size we parked on two parking spots (the long ones). When we came back from exploring the city we had a ticket on our windscreen that we parked on two spaces which is not allowed. It’s a 70$ fine :( there’s no other place to park a RV!
Report Check-InThe best place for parking during the day (6AM-10PM) and for free. Restrooms included. We parked here two days in a row and without any issues.
Report Check-InHello
we are with a 26 feet (8.1 meters) motorhome and we park here during 3 days to visit the town.
We stay here sonce 07.00 AM to 07.00 PM.
No problem.
Enjoy this town
I stayed one parking lot north of here for one night. Same as this one there’s only one poorly lit sign at the entrance saying no overnighting between 12-6. No one bothered me. Arrived 930, heaps of cars visiting the yacht club but they cleared out by 11. Morning works begins at 7 which woke me up but a spectacular view is worth it.
Report Check-InGreat place to park during the day, free wifi! Always be careful, hide your stuff and lock your car.. We had no problem parking there 4 days. No overnight parking, patrol come every night.
Report Check-InGreat safe free spot to park, spend 2 days here exploring the city and spent the night at the vista point over the bridge
Report Check-InAs they said before, great spot to leave your rig while visiting the city. It's also nice just to hang out, very calm.
Report Check-InGreat place to leave the RV and stroll around San Francisco. Free on weekend and holiday.
Report Check-InAs described, perfect place in San Francisco to park your (big) camper for free; there are lots of amenities around-free WiFi, Restrooms, Bicycle rentals, Safeway and a Bus stop...we parked there 4.days during the day, for Overnight we drove to vista point at the north end of Golden Gate Bridge
Report Check-InYou can park for free on weekdays, free, good wifi.
Report Check-Invery nice and convenient place to park and then to visit SF during the day. We were asked to leave the parking at midnight as the marina closes at night. You have to exit for the night and find a place to park in the neighbourhood where there are quite a lot of possibilities, but more noisy.....
Report Check-InNice place but unfortunately it's forbidden to park here from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. As we visited the place there were a lot of RVs and camper vans but by 10 p.m. all were gone. One of the guys told us that the place is patrolled frequently and that the minimum fine is $60; so they rather park in the streets around Safeway. Next night we drove by and saw a police officer beginning ticketing at 10.03 p.m. ...
Report Check-InBeautiful place, toilets open until 8 p.m. Good parking here and walking on the touristic place in San Francisco. There are a lot of place you can overnight, after 6 p.m. until 8 a.m. like in neighborhood, place of fine art or in the street. There is Safeway market near this place
Report Check-InLarge free parking lot.
there is a forbidden sign at the enter.
we stayed there 2 nights and no one came...
Beautiful view on the bridge and Alcatraz.
very quiet and safe
