Description

A really lovely spot right across the road from (or ON) the Rio Cangrejal. We weren't super excited about the options in this area (because most of the places barely have space for a car) so we decided to inquire here and are so glad we did! They're technically a B&B but, depending on how busy they are, the owner, John, will allow you to camp on his beautiful, flat, and spacious property. (Or if it's time to splurge and relax in a hotel, this is the place to do it!) But if you decide to camp, you have two options: Up the driveway (4x4 required!) near the main building which has electricity, bathrooms, wifi, and running water ($6 per person per night). OR he also owns the grassy patch of land at the bottom of the driveway that does *not* require 4x4 and is essentially on the river but there is no bathroom, electricity, etc. (Not sure how much he would charge for this)

Checked in here if I could park for the night. I was told they are full and they have no space. Also, keep in mind to get to the lodge you have a steep grade. There are also some low branched hanging down. Large and hig rogs can hace a problem.
The photi is of the area where you could park. Tgere was definitely space for me to park. Maybe they do not allow overlanders to park.
