We messaged Mauro late one night as we broke our van nearby. Both him and his dad were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We stayed two weeks in the van in his garage repairing the van and getting some welding done. Good welding at a very reasonable price. He speaks excellent English too if you need help in finding things.

Such a welcoming and helpful family. We camped in the very secure family compound and they helped us get some parts we needed. We stayed 2 nights, used their bathroom occasionally, shared coffees and conversation. Highly recommend.

Good garage! We made some body works, everything was very well done, fast and pretty cheap. However, we don't feel "like home" as previous comments said. Mauro and his son were friendly, we slept in our landcruiser but it would be better to sleep in an hostel...

This place is AMAZING!!! We spent 6 days here with Mauro and his family while they did a whole bunch of cosmetic work and rust abatement on our VW Vanagon. Total work - welding in new metal in 5 spots, repaired 4 dents, pulled windshield to fix some rust and resealed, removed and repaired fibreglass bumper, repainted bumpers and about 25% of the van. They welcomed us into their home while we camped out in their driveway. You can rest assured they’ll take care of your vehicle in the most professional manner and at a fair price. We left there feeling like part of the family!

Mauricio, Cristina and their children are some of the most generous people we've had the pleasure to meet. They welcomed us into their home letting us camp in their nice grassy front yard and made us feel at home. They were happy to let us use their shower and restroom in their home 24/7.

They're knowledgable mechanics who helped us with their advice, tools and guidance so we could do an oil change on our truck, check our brakes and do other maintenance work.

We shared stories and meals with them and felt a part of the family for the few days we stayed with them.

Not to mention they can help you with almost any question about who to call or where to go if you need to fix/buy/do anything in Chia or Bogota.

Their home is conveniently inside a locked community (House #2 in the intercom) located just 2 blocks from a huge supermarket/mall so we took care of many errands.

We loved watching them work on gorgeous restorations of classic LandCruiser 40 series (and other vehicles).

We have only good things to say about this fantastic family.

We only ask not to treat this camping option just as that.

We had an incredible heart warming experience and feel we made good friends for life.
