Very nice spot. Bathrooms are available. We were here on a Monday night and there were 6 of us. Two of the campers look like they’ve been here for a while. Very windy! Beautiful view of the river. We do hear the train, but it’s chilly tonight so the windows will be closed. Slight highway noise, too. It’s free (7 day limit), so not going to complain.

Report Check-In

Lot of space, toilet, good phone signal, nice view over the river. You can hear the train but it is not blowing its horn 😀. Great place to end up a travel day

Report Check-In

Great spot as previous people have said. Easy access with our Sherpa Trailer, clean and quiet. Even in the rain the gravel and grass kept the dog paws reasonably clean. About 3 other campers there as well, but large enough to space out. No camping posted on certain paths not that we would have driven down them anyway.

Report Check-In

What a great find!! Signs that say camping only April 1-November but they were set aside. Only one other camper. Road becomes gravel (it’s good) as soon as you turn off of the interstate. No sign indicating the park. Vault toilets were clean. Absolutely great spot to camp. Right on the river and great for our dogs. Free, too! Lots of trains (not very close) but didn’t hear any horns.

Nice quiet place. Just off I-84, milepost 151. Beautiful views of the Columbia River and the hills of Washington. Nice, clean pit toilets. Not too many trains at night and no horns. Would stay here again.
Better AT&T service than at my home!

Report Check-In

We spent the night here. It was quiet and peaceful. We were the only one here.

Report Check-In

Great spot we loved it. Empty this time of year, but beautiful and clean pit toilet.

Report Check-In

7 day camping. Right on water. Plenty of level spots. No 4x4 needed. Train runs frequently, but not too loud. Pit toilet clean. Some coyotes howling at night. Great spot.

Report Check-In

Decent enough. We got here pretty late and left pretty early so not much activity. Quite a few people, but there’s tons of spots so it doesn’t feel overcrowded at all. Pit toilets available. Smelled pretty heavy of horse poo

Report Check-In

Awesome spot!! The trains did wake me up a couple of times surprisingly despite being across the lake. Still a really awesome spot and worth staying. No one else here on a Saturday morning. Beautiful lake, cool breeze, lots of birds, tons of space, clean pit toilet. Super close to interstate but you have to try to hear the traffic.

very nice area. free 7 day camping army core of engineers. went swimming!

Not much to add, the descriptions are accurate. Sunsets are pretty here. Although there are trains, they didn't blow their horns so they weren't horrible. We were the only ones here at 8pm on a Thursday night. Then 2 others showed up later. Great spot to stay when headed into the Portland Area from Idaho. 5G of Tmobile and watch your pets, this is a rattlesnake area.

Report Check-In

Amazing place to stay, Right in the Columbia River. Easy drive in, good gravel road. Big gravel parking lot or about 3-4 spots right along the river.
Couple of rigs here that look like they are set up for a week stay. We pulled in just for an overnighter. The cleanest vault toilet I’ve ever seen. No garbage can so pack in pack out please!! It was very clean when we were there.

Remote site off of the 84. Met the park ranger driving in. Answered all of our questions. Safe. Patrolled on a regular basis. Off grid camping. Beautiful river area. Boat ramp. Boat dock.

About 1 mile down a gravel road from the interstate.

Looked like an awesome place to camp but there was a sign that said overnight camping closed. Bummer, but had to find somewhere else to stay. Not sure when camping here will open up again. Also, there was a sketchy run down motorhome here

Report Check-In

The place is still crowded and super easy to access for big RVs. During our night there were 3 to 4 big RVs with running generators. Please respect your neighbors gentlemen big RVs. By cons the place is beautiful. The small van can park it water front. Yes in the evening there is a lot of mosquito.

Report Check-In

Awesome place! So quiet and away from highway. Best night sleep for a long time. Would have stayed longer if we didn’t have somewhere to go.

Report Check-In

great free campsite right on the water. aside from some faint highway and train noise, we had a very peaceful night's sleep.

Report Check-In

much better option than the noisy and dirty rest area. take the 3 mile canyon exit. at the stop turn right to a good dirt road and follow it less than a mile down to the river.

Report Check-In

Nice place, we stay 2 days.
Quiet night, beautiful view. A lot of spots.

Report Check-In

Windy and no shade. Nice view of the river, some traffic noise but not bad. A few trailers and wind surfers rigs hanging around

Report Check-In

Arrived late at night around midnight and found a spot in the corner to sleep. There were 5 RVs here dispersed throughout the area as there are no marked campsites. You can definitely hear the road but it's much better than sleeping in a rest area. the views in the morning were spectacular. I was parked just meters away from the river bank.
Beware the area is quite exposed if any wind picks up.

Report Check-In
