Description

Nice and even place. Simple ablutions. Very close to the pools. A bit small for overlanders?

It’s not only a campsite but also a conference center, they also have a restaurant and chalets.
I’ve added their 2024 prices as a picture.

As we are non resident they wanted 6$ pppn, which currently is around 10500MWK. We asked if we could get a price at 6000MWK, they accepted so quickly that you could probably get a better price !

It’s very open and a lot of people are just walking by but most will offer their services as guides, car cleaners, laundry boy, you name it…

Everybody is friendly and not too invasive.
Check my comment about the guides on the gate pin.

The campsite itself is a big open flatish grass area, the trees and flowers around are well maintained and we felt good the 2 nights we spent there.
The toilets are close to the camp area, where there is the tap, clean and had paper.
The shower is a bit further away, less maintained it looks like but okay. There was not hot water.

It looks to be the best out of the only few options there are !

Very open campsite and be prepared to be hassled by “guides” from the moment you arrive. There doesn’t appear to be any control or oversight over the guides

Very good campsite. Friendly staff. Good basic ablutions.....clean. Nice warm water.....perfect temperature. Great views. Close to the pools. No worries.

we camped here with roof top one night before 3-day hike to Sapitwa direct from the camp. we could leave the car there and food in there fridge for free. we hiked with Lewis (whatsapp +265 881 28 48 52) who organised "full board" hiking, this mean with a cook. this was more pricy but really appreciated in the hectic of the 2 huts even if food was of course only what is available at the local market.

Nice spot, camping for 3.500.- Kwacha pppn. If you order in advance they prepare food as well, no beer.
From here its only a couple of minutes to walk to the pools.
The campsite is in the park, so you have to pay 1.000.- Kwacha p.P. and 500.- for the car entrance fee. At the gate there are souvenir shops

Stopped in this place to see for camping. Did not stay as many people are there wanted yo guide you (not leaving you alone). Ablutions is only basic as mentioned post, but in our case it wasn't clean either.
