Worth the stop. We tried to did the trail but at this period we had a lot of water on the path and no plastic boots.

Peaceful river and nice trail. Benches on observation deck at end of trail.

Five Finger Rapid is part of the history of the Klondike Gold Rush. The Dawson City visitor center has a video that prominently features historic footage of sternwheeler ships navigating the channel through these rocks. It’s a nice, short and level trail to the cliffs that overlook the channel. Getting to the trail requires descending about 220 wooden steps. It’s also visible from the parking lot’s observation deck.
