We visited on a Sunday and it wasn’t too busy. It cost 41K/adult and that got you a tour (in Spanish) through the museum and the salt mine. There were many signs in English to help us understand things. We seemed to be the only foreigners there, very popular with the Colombian people. It was super cool and interesting. Of course there were some cheesy tourist type spots but just being down in the mine, seeing all the passageways, stalicites, caves and such was pretty cool.

Just skip the Cathedral Salt and visit this one instead! We loved it. Very interesting, you can actually see salt here and the price is 41.000 pp as of 11-2023. (Guided tour)
Recommended.

We love this place and his staff! Very intressting, you learn a lot about the history and present of this salt mine. The tour is on spanish but our guide explain us diffrent things also in English for free. The street parking is directly in front of the mine and it's for free and safe. We could have stayed overnight on the secured / fenced staff parking but we drive further to Suesca.

No parking available at the entrance anymore, you need to street park if you want to go here.

They also wanted to charge 80.000 extra if we wanted an English speaking guide, would have been helpful for the museum, but didn't want to spend even more (it's already 37.000 per person entrance fee).

The mine is pretty, but a bit corny. It's all about hearts and saints and stuff. The water basins look cool in pictures though.

We slept on the central square and had a quiet night. There is an awesome bakery there that sells cheesecakes in a cup!

They let us stay because the parking downtown was closed. If you can get them to open the 2 gates you can get in here easy. If not, take the road to the left and it’s a HARD U turn up to the right. We ended up backing in. BIG rigs are probably a no go. Be prepared for ALL the restaurants in town to close up by 4 pm

They let us spend the night here. I think they’re kind of picky who they let stay. If you can get them to open the 2 gates up to here it’s much easier to enter. We took the road to the left of the entrance and nearly couldn’t make the hard u turn to park here. Ended up backing up the road in reverse. Definitely a no go for big rigs. If you go here mid week be prepared for ALL the restaurants to close at 4 p.m.

Awesome tour of the salt mine, we both really enjoyed it. Our guide Gabrielle was great, spoke great English and was really entertaining and knowledgeable. Very interesting mine with lots of history also has an area where the movie "Los 33" was filmed. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

Enjoyed the tour of the mine, informative and still low key. Nice sleepy town.

Informative tour. Good contrast to one in Zipaquirá. Parked below near water plant. Peaceful night. Brief walk to town square. Grocery store two blocks. Sleepy town, closed up early and slept late.

Beautiful place to visit and nice road break on the way to Bogata. We stayed in our camper in their small parking area for the night, just asked our guide after the tour and it was no problem. Bathrooms available during operating hours as well as decent WiFi. Still 26k pp for the tour.

In contrast of the salt kathedral in Zipaquira which is build for touristic and mainly religious. but it is a option to stand overnight in Zipaquira vor 7000, it is just a short way to Nemocon .

Nice tour and explanation of the ways salt mining has changed over the years. There is a little museum attached to the mine that has some geology explanations and several dinosaur fossils. Money well spent!
