Driving north along the Rio Magdalena valley, we found this quiet hidden spot by checking every trail off the main road.
Drive west over the bridge from Cambao, then first right down the track. There are potentially a few sites along the way, the one marked is about 500m in, past a gate and cattle grid, right on the river with a place to swim if you don't mind getting muddy feet.

Update April 2022: You might get a visit by the police and will be asked to move to the police station. Super friendly guys though. Otherwise a nice spot, but definitely a ton of Moskitos in the rainy season.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.

We only stayed here for an hour and a half until the police showed up shortly after sunset.
Super friendly and they were genuinely concerned about our safety, so they asked us to move to stay in front of the police station. They didn't ask for anything and didn't expect anything, but we gave them a couple of beers for the "fin de trabajo" and they really appreciated it.
They offered that we could use the toilets inside the police station as well and that they are there 24/7.
Report Check-InDidn't really get bothered by the mosquitos but we lathered up with mosquito repellent so could be why. Nice little spot hidden away next to the river, didn't get bothered by anyone. Enough room for a couple of vans and tents. Spots to have camp fires. Make sure you shut your car up as lots of bugs can get inside!
Report Check-InBest name ever! This is a suitable, riverside campsite. It’s warm here. Mosquitoes here. Some trash. But it’s a secure, peaceful overnight if you have good fans and/or screens.
Report Check-InNice quiet spot to camp. We stayed for the night and didn’t see another person. Lots of space for any size rig. Mosquitos were around but not terrible.
