Free campsites with pit toilet and small trash receptacles. Near a river and Galbraith Lake. No other facilities. Only official state campground on the North Slope at the base of Atigun pass. Scattered primitive sites with a pit toilet and a couple sites have picnic tables. The campground is not on the lake.
Good cell reception with T-mobile.

Established campground, free of charge. Pit toilets and garbage bins.
Each spot is at fair distance from the other, has table and fire ring.No noise from the faraway from the highway and the close-by airport.
The view is beautiful. We stayed one night, it was rainy and mos were aggressive
Camp is a couple of km off the highway.
Between the airport and the official camp are a couple of pull outs.
Windy -> no mosquitoes
Report Check-InPerfect spot to dry camp before we head to Deadhorse. It’s as nice as others have described. Good AT&T and Verizon cell service. Free campsite.
Report Check-InWonderful campground well off the highway, no road noises, at the first large campsite past pit toilets on the right there is a rocky path navigable by 2wd van that takes you out to private opening with fire pit and picnic table, spectacular mountain views all around, very peaceful place + full ATT service
Report Check-Inwhat they say about the bugs is on point. thankfully it's windy tonight so it helps to keep them to a minimum..but when it lessens they are on you fast. The place is perfect though. We just walked to a mini glacier, there are a few out here. Also a large crew if you needed water and can sterilize it.
Report Check-InBeautiful spaced out campsites in a beautiful location hampered in their beauty by the relentless hordes of mosquitos. The pit toilets were also the dirtiest I've seen - hundreds of flies and very gross toilet seat. I only mention the toilet because it's in contrast to my other experiences at BLM managed toilets on the Dalton Highway. Good for a night only, in my opinion.
Report Check-InNice little campground, as described, sadly it has to many brush around and the Mosquitoes and Gnatts love that place too.
Good LTE cell reception with T-mobile here, the Tower is at Pump #4 near-by.
Great place. Mountains behind you and toundra in front. Rocky but ok road. Fantastic.
Report Check-InNice spot and views, it’s about 5 miles off the Dalton. Previous comments accurate.
Report Check-InPrimitive CG with one pit toilet.
Spaces are spread apart and there are terrific views of the mountains. No vehicle sounds from the Dalton. Nice breeze but there are still mosquitoes so be prepared.
Beautiful views under midnight sun. Spaces scattered nicely. Clear and 44F for the first of June. Photos taken at 12:15am Saw a wolf to the south at 12:30am!
Report Check-InAlmost all campsites are flat and the landscape is beautiful. At night we watch the northern lights, one of the best moments of our trip. Spectacular!
Report Check-InAs you get on the side road there are nice pulloffs not too far in. Really nice view all around, far from the highway, and even had cell service from the nearby maintenance station.
Report Check-InWe stopped here for lunch. Seemed like a decent campground, but we like wild camping, so we moved on. There were probably 6 other vehicles there at the time. Lots of mosquitoes.
Report Check-InThe views of the Brooks Range and the North Slope from this camp area are spectacular. The mosquitoes were very heavy here, it was the first place and only place that we actually had to put on head nets. We geared up, got out of our rig and set up a mosquito tent with some Theracells inside and lit a couple of mosquito coils around the campsite and drove those rat bastards away. We only stayed one night, but would have enjoyed staying longer, but we had a tour of Prudhoe Bay set up for the next afternoon.
Report Check-InNo fee campsites with pit toilet and small trash receptacles. Near a river and Galbraith Lake. No other facilities.
Report Check-InOnly official state campground on the North Slope at the base of Atigun pass. Scattered primitive sites with a pit toilet and a couple sites have picnic tables. There is a nearby river. The campground is not on the lake.
