Great rest area. We spent a quiet night here and the noise of the main road didn't disturb us because was far. We loved the picnic tables. Toilets clean and with ac. Tourist info closed. The dawn was stunning btw
Report Check-InNice clean rest area with covered picnic tables, restrooms 24h, trash cans, it is a bit off the interstate and located at a bit higher elevation hence it has less noise from the interstate than the rest area going eastbound just across the state line in Texas. There is signage that states a stay limit of 24h. There is semi truck parking and as usual they come and go during the night....
Report Check-InThe info center is still closed but the rest area still is open and there is water with the standard american connector.
Report Check-InJust before you enter the parking, when you are about to leave the freeway exit, you will see the unpaved dead end track to the corral to your left. We did spend the night on this track. It gave a bit more boondock feeling. We enjoyed a reasonably quiet night. You will hear interstate traffic, but not traffic on the rest area.
Report Check-InThe info centre is closed - don't know if this is permanent, but the sign on I10 has had 'info centre' blanked out, and a handwritten sign directs you to the info centre in Las Cruces. Still a nice area, water, restrooms, picnic tables.
