Description

Update: 100mx per person per night . The family was so sweet and it was so quiet and secure plus the private lake dock made the price up-charge so worth it.

A hotel with rooms, a large unit for groups, and camping. We camped two nights. First night was mellow. Second night was Friday and late in the day a HUGE group showed up and were LOUD untill 3am, but they had basically rented all the rooms and house, so I guess they were welcomed to be as loud as they liked.
Nice boat ramp to lake. Clean bathrooms with shower inside. Bring your own TP. We slept in our rig and found a level place to park. Not too many level spot in the "camping area". Plenty of small level places under lime trees in the grass for tents. 100 pesos a night for two and a dog. Rooms on weekdays 500pesos, more on weekends.

Don't lose your time going there. Road is bad and when we arrived, they were making new buildings, no more spaces for RV. it was a mess with the working area. We asked if it was possible to camp with our RV, they said yes for 250 MX$ / person with breakfast and no reduction for children. After negociation, 200 without breakfast.... over the top, we had to park in the middle of nowhere between the working men.... No way !!!!
We turned around and left !

Beautiful place. Spent there a night with our RV (7.5m). Great swimming and paddleboarding in the lake. Saw some birds and butterflies. 100 pesos per person.

Nice place! We arrived on Friday and on the weekend the campground was completely full! Bathrooms very clean though. Everyone left on Sunday so we were completely alone on Monday. Good WiFi. We were told that the price is 190 pesos pPn including breakfast. We paid 100 pesos pPn without breakfast.

Beautiful lake and green nature around. Lots of cool birds if you look for them! In the weekend crowds from Guadalajara come to camp and party, we found them all very nice!

You are not allowed to park next to the lake (only tents can). Instead you have to park in the back of the campsite. Price for 2 persons is 300 pesos per night. Cold showers and restaurant (didn't try).

Totally underwhelming. After driving a mile along a heavily rutted lakeside road, we camped by the lake at this 300Ps/n campground with cold showers, crap internet and nowhere to sit and make dinner. Not even a single table. The lake was covered by a green scum. The next morning we spent 2h doing a nature walk around the lake and saw only 3 butterflies, one rather small bird and no abandoned gold mine which was supposed to be the highlight in our Lonely Planet guide. The walk didn't seem to be anywhere near the lake. For most of it, all you could see was 10 foot high concrete walls. Booooring!!!

This campground, room facility is very clean and well maintained. We were motorcycling and got a room for two nights. Weekend rates were $900 P and weekly rates were $600 P. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Restaurant on site served good food. Basic menu. For those wanting to tent they have showers and bathrooms available.

Amazing little spot, great wifi. There is a little dock you can jump into the water as well. We were the only people here for two days, super quiet and super secure.

Now 150MX per person. And she laughed when we told her the prices on iOverland. So we moved on based on the attitude and went to La Selva and saved 100mx per night (based on double occupancy)

They’re renovating and the workers start at 7am! Not recommended at the moment.

very nice spot on the lake.
The owners even got out a long attention cord so we could plug in our camper.

really great spot. as described. paid 70 pesos/person/night
stayed for one night on a Thursday. was quiet.

Small campground with beautiful view and access to the laguna. It is secured with gates at night and seems open to public during the day time for swimming. We stayed three nights and paid 70$ per person per night. We parked the van on the left side close to the lake where it is flat.

There are many restaurants near the campground and a mini market with few veggies and canned goods about 15-20 minutes by walk.

As said in the comments, groups of people came in the evening and were pretty loud at night.

Nice campground, very clean. 50 pesos/person/night. No real designated sites. Although not set up for RVs, we believe there are 2 septic tank access points (one wooden door on concrete pad, and the other on left side of building was open) so if you needed to dump, there might be a possibility. Lots of campers were there on the weekend. All was quiet until a group of bikers showed up at 11pm on Saturday night, and were obnoxiously loud until about 4 in the morning. Staff didn't do anything about it. It's a cheap place though for nice lake access!

There are many options to camp around the lake – this is the best! You camp in a beautiful garden right on the water, there's a covered terrace with power outlets overlooking the lake, you can rent kayaks and make a campfire on the 'beach'. There's a restaurant and a tienda next door. Excellent value @ MEX$ 50 pppn.
