Arrived right as closing (5 pm in off season), and much later and the owners might have been gone/gate closed. If tent camping, not the best spot as the parking lot (where we got permission to camp) is mostly stony and has limited wind protection. Choose between gravel/not pegging your tent or wind with less gravel.
Still, glad they let us camp and checking out the cafe and museum in the morning.
Low season hours 11-5, closed Wednesdays and off season.
lovely museum, great to learn some history of the area. The couple that run the place are very friendly. We asked to stay the night in our camper and they had no problems with it, we just made sure we left at a decent time in the morning so to not over stay our welcome.
