Description

This campground has been revitalized! 2 pools in excellent condition. Water, power outlets and points to connect/empty your sewage. BBQ and kitchen. Accepting RVs up to 14m. The campground is just off the freeway, a quick 24 mile drive into Rio. A good place to park if you want to take a bus into Rio for a few days. There is a male Rottweiler to keep the place safe. Think twice if you have a male dog with you.

We arrived to a lock gate and told by phone that camping is “no mais”. Website shows closed because of COVID so this may be temporary?

Hey travellers!
This camping is welcoming you with portuguese, english, french and swedish speaking host. The goal is to listen to you guys, when your are visiting, not after, to being able to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The pools are open, the common kitchen contains BBQ, large counter for washing up and preparing food, gas stove and refrigerator to share the space in. There are outlets for 110 and 220 spread around the grounds and one side reserved exclusively for larger RVs that might need connection to water and sewage!
Come in groups and arrange football tournaments with BBQ if you wish. The possibilities are endless.
There are 4 dogs here that keep everything safe from intrusion from the outside. Greet the Head of security, the Rottweiler, together with the host while entering and you have an immediate new friend that will greet you every morning waving his tail.
My 14 meter motor-home found a perfect spot. A little tricky to manoever at the entrance, but it works! Eveyone helped me to stay free from obstacles while making the one tricky turn. Leesons were learned and the vegetation has been cleared a little to make that turn easier :-)

It is worth it with the public bus-stop right at the gate to take you to downtown, for visiting Christ the Redeemer and sugar-loaf, etc...

one of the durtiest campings we ever saw, For us it was ok and save to leave the camper to visit Rio, if you don't have a self containing car, don't go there. Price was 35 Reais p/P.

If you don't want to pay so much as at CCB its ok. Has seen better times, however the people who live here are really nice. To go to Rio don't take the 382! Take the blue bus which stops at the highway south of BRT Pontal (2334?). It costs 14.50 to Copacabana but is much faster. And you will have a seat.

Struggled to find somewhere to stay in Rio. Checked out the Marina - would not let us in and the nearby car park but they said they were full and they were not very friendly. There are car parks along Praia de Flamengo that may take smaller vehicles. This campsite was a good option to then be able to travel back into Rio. Grounds run down. 40 reals a person, kids free for the nights we slept in our vehicle. 20 reals for the night just to leave the vehicle there whilst in Rio..

This campground has turned partially into a permanent caravan park and has seen better days. There is a pristine pool in front of a rubble pile. The campground is just off the freeway, a quick 24 mile drive into Rio. A good place to park if you want to take a bus into Rio for a few days.
