Something not right?

Description

nice flat place, next to river. Directly after bridge. Close to the road and in full sight, but at night its very quiet. Nobody bothered us here. Please keep it clean. Much better option then at beginning of the track which is not even at all.
Road to here is quite narrow, right at edge of mountain , avoid driving at night. Careful with oncoming traffic.

Think this is still the best spot on the road in to sleep. Fairly flat and lots of space where you can get away from the road. Clean river nearby is a bonus. Hardly any traffic. Better altitude than the car park. Still frost on the floor in the morning though.

Still the perfect place when visiting rainbow mountain. Flat, quiet and only friendly locals around. We started the hike up to rainbow mountain at 2pm from the upper parking lot and had it all to ourselves.

really nice place to stop before alternative rainbow mountain. we found wood for a campfire and had a really nice evening. the sun doesn't reach it before 8, so it's easy to sleep in

Completely visible from the road. But the most passing cars are locals and they are very friendly. Quiet, just the sound from the river. Perfect spot before or after rainbow mountain.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot by the river. Perfect before and after rainbow mountain. We stayed two nights. Friendly locals, lots of alpacas and horses. One of the ladies gave us a handful of potatoes that she harvest.
Not a lot of traffic on this road since all the tour buses are taking the other road (from cusipata)
Go to rainbow mountain in the afternoon!!!

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay after or before 🌈-mountain. You are not hidden from the street but very quiet at night.
The ground is partly a bit sandy and muddy.

Much better spot to camp than the trailhead car park. No crowds of locals, more peaceful, lower altitude And thus warmer and easier to sleep. 20 minutes drive from trailhead.

Report Check-In

Great flat and scenic spot to camp. We slept here the night before driving to the trailhead. Started hiking at 7am and had luck with sunny skies and beating the rest of the tourists up by about 45 minutes. Beautiful!

Report Check-In

Perfect spot before the hike ! Nobody after 6:00 pm. Took 45 mins to Pitumarca with our van. The road condition is good (dirt) and the landscape amazing !

Report Check-In

We went down to this spot after the hike to spend the night (very quiet). Otherwise it could have gotten difficult to get out of the parking at the trailhead the other morning (the first tour busses arrive at 6am).

Report Check-In

Very nice spot. Right next to river.
