Saudi Arabia
Beautiful volcano crater where you can drive with your car to the top of the rim (no 4x4 needed). We didn’t camp here, because there was a lot of wind on the rim - but beautiful spot to visit and walk around!
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Confirmed, you can drive with your car (even 2wd) to the top of the rim (in dry weather). It's about 6 km of washboard over gravel and sand, annoying but not difficult. It looks like Al Waba Crater but without visitor center, it's all nature. There's no path to go down but if you're keen you can improvise! We spent the night there and we were alone, very quiet. Camels and sheep around.
Report Check-InStill very easy with our Land Cruiser, even in wet conditions. There are some minor soft parts and when we where there 1 muddy/wet part. I assume it would be doable in a 2wd as well but maybe not in wet conditions.
