Popular spot, 4 other rigs parked around here. Mixed bag of spots, good enough for this guy.

Nice place to stay. Very beautiful views. There are different spots and also a parking lot. We stayed next to the river.

Report Check-In

Stayed here last night in our truck camper. Definitely an awesome spot with minimal bugs. We enjoyed the spot closer to the bridge as the other one with a clear sky view was taken.

Two bars 5g on ATT/Cricket

Will definitely stay here again

Very nice place to get off the road for an overnighter. If you’re a larger size unit you probably won’t fit into one of the sites. We parked along the guardrail near the river. Didn’t chance going down to the river since it was still early in the season and didn’t want to take chances. Hardly any skeeters and as far as we can tell the only visitors here for the night. Recommend it.

Sandy flat site adjacent to the river. Modest road noise from the Alcan, mostly drowned by the rushing current. Pit toilets and classic Alaska views

Report Check-In

Beautiful camping right on the river with view of the bridge. Quiet, not busy, not many bugs right on the water. (tons of mosquitos at the pit toilets though.) Definitely one of our favorite free camping stops.

Stayed here on weekend end of June, very quiet, only 1 other Truck, nice view towards the mountains.

Report Check-In

We camped by ourselves down by the sandy/rocky riverbank with no problems in our truck camper. It is a very wide braided river, running low while we were here. Nice view of the mountains.

The sites near the rest area are a bit overgrown, but provide shade and there are picnic tables. The pit toilet was clean and stocked.

There was some road noise.

Great place with lots of options, from under the bridge to direct at\ in the river. Even rubbish containers and a toilet are there...

Nice place, however, it's pretty popular. There were about 8 other parties when we slept here. Enough space for everyone though so no problem.

after a horrible night at the Walmart in Fairbanks I slept here very well. nice place with all what you need- place, toilets, benches and bins.
it's close to the highway, but you hear it didn't nicht- even in the night, there is nearly no traffic.
you can stay here direct on the river or in the shade of the trees in the Forrest.

Wonderful! Beautiful view, quiet, fire rings, free!

Beautifulllllll! What a view. You can camp in the river bedding (see picture). Pit toilet at the beginning of the road.

Still up to date ! Very beautiful informal campsite and you can find it in the milepost at mile 1392 on the Alaska Highway.
Very quiet, we were 3 campers but the sites are spaced.
