Free campsites with permit, great spots with concrete slab with picnic table covered by roof. Trash cans, porta potties, and river access.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Ok for a campground, tent sites busy and feels a little enclosed between the trees and the swamp. RV sites all empty. Road in was good and reservation easy to get. Buggy for sure. Slow cell service, but useable. Portapotties up at the RV sites/day use area, bring your own TP.
Report Check-InFlooded road right before campground. Nice drive in though. Also if you book one campground you can’t cancel or book at any of the other free ones on the site.
Report Check-InJust as others have said - great spot - free with reservation. I’ll add huge fishing spot…many folks came for day use with their boats. Bumpy but easy road in (I’m guessing even in rain easy to access). Area for RVs and area for tents but both are set up the same - covered table, fire ring. One to two bars on Verizon.
Report Check-InGreat place to stay, it does require a free reservation but usually there is availability up to the day before. Each RV site/Tent site has a fire ring, charcoal grill, and covered picnic bench area. There is two porta-potties located near the dock. There is a day use area with covered picnic tables and a small playground too. There is a boat launch, most of the people who came for the boat launch were fishing. We didn’t see any paddle boarders. Overall, great quiet spot. Everyone turned off their generators by 9 (technically generators aren’t allowed). Vans/ truck-bed campers and RVs would all fit in the tent sites just fine. The only difference between the sites is that the RV sites are off of a paved road.

Report Check-InQuaint spot, bugs were very active. I occupied spot 16 which is up against the woods and felt very secluded, except for the other spots right across the road from me.
I wasn't able to find a toilet/pit anywhere so recommend to have all your business done before you arrive. Poor cell signal, T-Mobile.
