a nice place on the sheep creek just before it flows into the Flaming Gorge Reservoir (Sheep Creek Bay) - some places with firepits

confirm, still open. A few places with fire pit, close to the creek. Calm and nice
Report Check-InVery quiet place. By the end of the lake along the small river that flows into the lake. Lots of spaces but tough to get leveled. We saw the salmon spawning!! Very quiet place, cold at night in October
Report Check-InAbsolutely gorgeous location with multiple sites. The dirt road is in good shape and not too steep. Could accommodate a big rig, but larger trailers may have some issues given a few tight corners. Spacious sites right by the river and larger reservoir. As noted by other overlanders, it is not super well cared for by people - there was broken glass and dog poop everywhere. There were a few fishermen when we arrived but after they left only 3 campers. Stunning views of the reservoir and gorge. Had the pleasure of a beautiful young bald eagle and many other birds. If in this area, this would make an ideal camping spot!
Report Check-InSmall dirt road bring you to the beach. It’s a bit messy with TP(makes me angry people are trashy). We Camped after spawning season ended , ranger lived there in his camper van cleaning up the dead fish. Otherwise it was a very quiet place to camp , I would go back
Report Check-InWonderful place with spots scattered around for privacy. places right on the water were taken but a spot farther back from the shore still had great views.
