Description

right next to some sort of billard cafe. The owner, Pepe, was very nice and let us park next to his place for some voluntary donation. We could use his toilet and get some water as well. He also watched our car while we walked to Frailys beach (ca. 1 h on the beach, accesible before 12 o'clock, when the tide comes. Walkway through the hills available). We gave him 3 dollars per night.

We spent 2 nights in front of Pepe's house, who is a very kind gentleman, as well as his whole family. The region is very good, quiet and safe. We slept with the doors open (just fighting the mosquitoes, of which there are many!). It is literally in front of the sea, which is great for a swim, as there are no waves. It is also very clean and has no rubbish around. On the last night, we said goodbye to Pepe with a serenade, with him playing the guitar and singing. In Pepe's house there is no structure, such as Wi-Fi or water, just a bathroom. In the area there is a small market with basic things, and several restaurants that sell showers. Pepe does not charge a fixed amount, it only asks for a spontaneous contribution.

We spent a very quiet night here :)) We had dinner with our friends at night, and had the participation of Pepe and his family. The beach here is really good, with few waves and super clean. Pepe asks for a voluntary help, but at the end charged 20USD for the 4 cars (we were in a group of friends). We said we had seen that friends paid about 2USD per car, and he accepted 10USD for everyone.

couldn't find the place at first but when we did they were really friendly. woke up in the morning to the sound of pépé practising his piano skills on his keyboard. paid 2.5$ for the night and 2$ for the mototaxi from Los frails back to pépé. couldn't walk along the beach to Los frails because even at low tide the water was too high.

You can park next to Pepe Rodriguez' Cabanas el Rinconcito for a small donation. A quiet fisherman's beach and Pepe can organise boat tours to surrounding islands. We did not use toilets and showers as they were just plastic buckets.. closest cheap camp to the beautiful Playa los frailes.
