Quiet the weekend we went. Large, open field with scattered, mature trees. Many loose stone fire rings scattered about. It looks like it is really popular for groups to meet up in nice weather and hang out around a fire. As advertised on the forest service website, there are no water sources, tables or metal fire rings. Two dual-sided (male/female) vault toilets. There are ranches nearby, so expect some traffic on the dirt road. The road is better maintained than other forest service roads; that's probably because of the ranches.

7 mile dirt road in, but level and well maintained. The sites are only distinguished by a fire ring. There are some roads within the campground that are washed out so walk around the campground before choosing a site.
Report Check-InNot enough Verizon reception for work so we had to leave. Gravel/dirt road to get there but doable for anyone as long as they go slow on certain spots. The campground is smaller than we thought and not as spread out from other campers as we like. Also, the road that circles the campground is surprisingly rough even for our 2WD Promaster, we did it but it wasn't smooth. There are two toilets on opposite sides of the campground too. Overall we wouldn't come back because we like more seclusion!
Report Check-InWonderful Camp
clean and big with plenty of room.
Loved waking up to some cattle roaming around (watch out for cow pies)
Had the camp to myself for a couple of days untill the weekend but not to many people.
like everyone else said, quiet and way out of the way. woke up one morning to a herb of presumably wild cattle outside my van.
Report Check-InSo peaceful and quiet! Cool breeze! There is maybe 4 other people here, but we’re far apart. Pit toilet were super clean. Supposed to drop to the mid 50’s tonight perfect for camping!
Report Check-InOver all a really good area especially if you’re tent camping or RTT camping and you drive as far north as you can. Much more secluded and you have a perfect view of the Capital Mountains. We had a great spot in the south side but an RV with a generator prodded is back into the North end and were very pleased!
