This might be a good spot for camping (didn't stay there but saw it driving by).
we were told at 10:00 am after spending the night that it's technically private property. "signs keep getting stolen" still a great spot.

Big enough for 5 plus vans I did throwdown a tent in the rocks the kids slept in the 4runner it was too foggy to just be on the ground, wanted some shelter but beats the $70 down the road for a piece of grass and the hordes of people
Report Check-InElephant Rock parking area—plenty of space for several RVs. We arrived at 5pm on Saturday and left at 8am on Sunday. Quiet night—just us, some cows and sheep. Beautiful view
No cell reception - AT&T
Great little spot once you find a flat spot. It’s quite a big area and a stunning sunrise. I’m sure sunset would be even more spectacular.
Report Check-InGood spot for a pull out, you can even tuck in behind some rocks. Road is indeed very quiet at night. A little busy with locals at sunset. Wake up to the sounds of content cows...
Report Check-InCool spot at Elephant Rock with an interesting rock formation. Road is fairly busy, but does quieten down in the later hours. Highway patrol came by around 9pm and spoke with me. He said no problem with me being there - just making sure that I’m ok!
Report Check-Ingreat spot good for a little climbing on the rocks. decent traffic but so far no one asked us to move.
Report Check-InGreat spot! It's a large turnout that borders ranchland with a spectacular view. We arrived at about 6 and by nightfall two other groups had also posted up for the night. Plenty of level ground for rigs and there also appeared to be some good sheltered tent spots. No signs at all. Definitely looked like it had been camped before. No one bothered us in the time that we were there. There was a surprising amount of cars coming and going on Dillon beach road, but we didn't care.
