Beautiful location on a peninsula over the damed lake within a reserve (no extra fee if going to he campsite). Clean ablution, electricity at site, braai facility. Price 150 Rand per person. It is about 50 kilometers from the Kruger NP Open gate.

Nice location and setting, crossing the dam to get here. The concrete block areas for camping are good for rooftop tents, trees are quite low above them though. power at each stand. Good clean ablutions at the main pool/reception area. We stayed twice, before and after Kruger trip. First time was very peaceful and we were the only ones camping. Second visit there were some long term guests camping who were up early and very noisy and inconsiderate of others at 5am. Then at 6am there was a very loud and aggressive argument coming from a man and woman at the main house, maybe the owners or other staff, not sure. Again just not very considerate of guests.
The guy on reception who checked us in though was great and very friendly.
Current price is R150pppn (Feb 2023)

I did camp that night at the Klaserie Dam Caravan Park next door. Two places with the similar name.
At the turn of from the gravel road there are two signs.
This camping is at the big dam.
The other is at a small dam - where I actually camped and the picture is from.
Added that other camp today (March 2021)

Report Check-InNice spot actually on the dam, Nyala and Kudu came drinking, you hear the lions from the reserve next door and it’s peaceful here as I am the only one camping. Some chalets and tented camp for R350 pppn. Toilets and showers are clean and very friendly owners! Restaurant is not operational yet but you can buy drinks. Camping R120 pppn

Report Check-InNice location at a small artificial lake. Campsite is actually not very big. Most of it is a tented camp. Lady at reception was nice but apparently they went out of their way to annoy me. First she told me there was only 1 pitch available because a large group would take the rest of the campsite. So I was stuck in a small, very sloping spot between a large anthill and a dirty old tractor, with power and water, but no braai (unlike the other pitches). By the way, all pitches are sloping AFAICT. In the end there was no group at all!
There was warm-ish water and no lights at the ablutions or campsite. In the evening a guy came to me to use my power outlet to turn on the lights at some other part of the park!
The nightly visit of kudus was nice though. Paid 135 rand for this.
Ok for a stop over especially before the Kruger or Jessica the Hippo!
Facilities are ok, lack of hot water!
