iOverlander cannot verify if wild camping is permitted at this location. It is your responsibility to verify local laws or obtain consent before staying the night.
After you took a curvy road down to an old stone mill you can decide if you wanna have the awsome view on the bridge between Island Krk and Rijeka or you wanna stay on a small more silent beach. We decided for the bridge one, the only neighbours are stone builders which start to work very early. It is a perfect ground to stay more then a day and maybe the lonesome fox will visit you at your first barbecue. If you stay on the other side there are left buildings from the old stone mill, !!!be aware there are open cable tunnels and canal system entries!!!
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
This is a large and quiet area with parking directly on the sea front. There are not many on iOverlander near here and it’s a great find. I would like to point out that this is a regulatory used site but there is no litter anywhere, which is why the local swimmers welcomed me. Let’s keep it that way
Report Check-Inwe stayed here for the night, there are some locals here but they do not bother you staying here. to not attract to much attention we set up the rooftop tent after dark and left early
Report Check-InWe‘ve decided for the bridge view which is awesome. A bit left from the pier is a hidden spot between trees with space for max. 3 small campers - no big rigs.
Also on the pier is a rehearsal room from a psychedelic-rock band they played late night tales for us ;)
The quarry side is more quiet, wide and more space available.
Nice place close to the water.
Though signs of no camping are there, no one bothered us here.
Report Check-InWe slept one night at the bridge side. There are many shields that forbits you to camp there. We were the only van that night and felt save. Many locals use that beach for a swim at day time. The view is great!
Report Check-InNot very well hidden, we could easily be seen by the few locals that were around but they didn’t seem to mind us. Most of the vehicles going by were big trucks for the quarry. Signs say no camping - but no police whilst we were there for one night. Lots of old campfires all over the place. Plenty of space for multiple cars/campers - we were the only ones there. Unfortunately quite a lot of rubbish around too! Nice view of the bridge. Had to pay 35HRK to go over the bridge.
Report Check-InWell, signs say No Camping, but locals are nice and told us, that they dont think, that any Police will come .. we choose the old stonemill for sleeping, quite a few campers this night (about 10 Vans), but area is big enough. some ppl had loud music whole night until 8am, but couldnt say if its local Party people or campers coming from.
Report Check-InNot an "into the wild"-spot but it's tolerated to stay with a van or camper close to the sea.
Report Check-InGreat spot. Good for fishing dorade
We stayed one night. Two other campers were aroubd but there is plenty space
