Description

Beautiful finca tucked up in the mountains near Parque Nacional Tapanti. We were not able to camp inside the national park but this place is literally 2 minutes down the road. $10 per car per night. Super tranquil and there's no one else here! Bathrooms with shower but not sure about electricity or wifi. Restaurant, as well.

This spot is phenomenal, the view of the forested mountain slopes makes it incredibly hard to leave. Mireya is one of the most beautiful hosts that I have met. It felt extremely homely sitting down for meals and exchanging language here. There is a dormitory, private room and space for 2-4 vehicles. A perfect climate for sleeping and exploring the Tapanti National Park. Access is fine in 2WD, wifi is fast and the food is delectable. After struggling to find a spot in Orosi, this place was a breath of fresh air.

Mireya is the most incredible and friendly host! She will talk your ear off with stories about her travels and life in Costa Rica. She also makes the most incredible trucha that comes from the ponds on her property. We paid 2500 pppn and 5000 per plate for the enormous fish dinner. Clean bathrooms and showers and fast Wifi. I highly recommend this stop! Just be aware if coming from the San Jose direction, there is a low clearance bridge ~3m (no problem for a sprinter)

Family owned property. Nice flat places to park, also some small shelters where you can set up your tent. Very kind people:) they have wifi at the restaurant.

We were here in november 2017, it seemed closed we couldn’t find anyone.

Camping is in the parking lot and the bathrooms are located up at the restaurant, a short steep covered walk from the lot. The owner is extremely friendly and ate breakfast with us one morning, helping us practice our Spanish. The location is fairly remote but is just around the corner from the national park. Very quiet and cool at night. 5,000C per vehicle.

Rural location, for me better option than orsi. Delightful hostess will cook you the freshly caught trout plate of the day meal for 3500c. Inexpensive quiet friendly camping. 5000c for my Campervan. Option for covered camping for tents. Very nice experience chatting with my rusty Spanish.
