I can’t overstate how hot it was here from about 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Even constantly drinking water, I felt dehydrated every day. Just something to be aware of this time of year for anyone who doesn’t tolerate heat well. Having said that, we only drive through Peru once and we’re on a limited visa, right? So we wanted to visit while we could. Women’s and men’s restrooms right by the parking area with showers (hot water available, though you won’t want it this time of year). Kitchen across the parking lot with a stove and two sinks for dishes. This is a busy spot with lots of people coming and going all week, at least now during summer. It is not as loud at night as you might expect, but I also wouldn’t call it quiet. There is a small market around the corner with some fruit, bread, etc. But it was open unpredictably. You’ll want to get groceries before you come. We liked Wildwood for dinner (pizza, pasta, and fun music videos on the TV). Ended up with four total overland rigs the night before we left, which was pretty wild. Caspian and I hiked up to the ridge of the sand dune at sunset, which was so hard but very rewarding. It’s much steeper than it looks. I’ve heard good things about the dune buggies, but we didn’t do that. The pool is clean and a good sun, but in full sun. I got sunburnt sitting in the shade all morning under one of the palm frond umbrellas. Not kidding, the sun is relentless. But it’s a unique spot and I’m glad we got to see it.

This place has only a few parking spaces, it is a disaster to hit it. Before you go to him, clarify whether he is still free...

Report Check-In

very nice, clean place, hot clean showers, nice pool.

Report Check-In

Arrived sunday around 5.30pm and it was a nightmare! Super busy and narrow street with people parking everywhere - you wouldn’t make it there with a big rig at that time.
Better to arrive in the morning or early noon when there are no sandboarding tours.

We had to leave because it was to busy to get there.

Report Check-In

As described, great spot, 50 soles per van/night. very clean, dtaff very friendly, great pool. Electricity, Wifi, fully equipped kitchen, hot showers, washrooms/toilets, hammocks,... highly recommended!

Report Check-In

Very nice facilities and staff. It’s 50 soles per vehicle. Overall it’s a very nice place to relax so we ended up staying a few days.

Report Check-In

This place is great! Very overlander friendly. Secure, welcoming and option to camp in their big tents as well as some limited space to pitch a tent. We saw others sleeping in their rigs. Great pool with a bar serving super cold beer to enjoy the sunset behind the beautiful sand dunes. Highly recommended.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Perfect for few night. Paid 50 soles per vehicle. Very friendly. Big rig ok. But not to many space. Little music until 9pm-10pm. Quiet at night. Shower hot and clean. Little swimming pool. Cool for relax with the bar. You can ask them to organise buggy in the desert for sunset. Paid 45 per kids and 50 adults. Fun experience.

Report Check-In

This place is an oasis in an oasis really. We had been wild camping for weeks and decided to spoil ourselves for a night, but ended up staying three nights. At 60 soles it isn't the cheapest place, but the hot (burning hot without adding some cold water) shower, the big kitchen and the swimming pool, it was very worth its price!
Definitely recommend.

Pro tip; go do the buggy + sandboarding tour for 40 soles, best rollercoaster I've ever been on. If you go at 4pm, you get a nice sunset on top of it.

Enjoy!

Report Check-In

This place is awesome! Everyone working there is incredibly friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and spaces are so clean you could eat from the floor. Daniel the manager let us use the restaurant free of charge so we could homeschool our kids while my husband had our truck repaired. It is a beautiful chilled place. We were allowed to stay with our (cat sized) dog, but he did not run free and we stayed away with him from restaurant and pool area. As the dunes and village are right outside that was no problem at all.

Report Check-In

Great spot, not cheap (180 soles per night for tent, I am travelling on a moto) but worth every cent for the location, the great wifi, beaut pool, secure parking for moto, great service…. Only thing that could see an improvement is the size of the breakfast, otherwise perfect!

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

This place is awesome! Hottest showers in Peru! Quiet by 10pm. Quite the hotspot for overlanders, there were maybe 7 other vans there! Hot tip - the showers/washrooms on the office side are much nicer than the pool side. Also, if you go out the door, turn right and go around the side/back of the hostel, you avoid the fee for the dune entrance.

Report Check-In

Ibiza in Peru. So the good vibes music is playing until 9pm. But it's ok - it goes with the set up and the sun, sand and lazy days at the pool atmosphere. This is the cleanest camping spot we've come across. Not a grain of sand in the toilets and showers. Proper water pressure and fantastic hot water. A communal kitchen which is as a clean as a home kitchen, with microwave and all Any rubbish bin is emptied at least twice a day. This set up right next to a huge dune - great spot to be lazy, getting bedding laundry done at one of 2 laundries in Huacachina or walk up and run down massive sand dunes. We paid S50 per night for 2 people and a Land Rover.

Report Check-In

Good spot to see the dunes, or ride atv’s, surf the sand… it was 50 per night, hot showers, good Wi-Fi, a pool and restaurant. Stayed two nights, weather was great.

Report Check-In

Price has gone up to 60 soles. But we were really happy with our stay. You are right by the dunes. And all the amenities are perfect! Definitely recommend!

Report Check-In

We loved this place! Real holiday vibes with pool and cocktails! Also big clean outside kitchen for us to cook and warm showers right beside where we parked the van. Excellent wifi! has everything you need! we also booked the sand dune tour for 4pm through them on our arrival

Eco Camp Huachacina

A very nice place to spend a day or two or four like we did. Right at the dunes. Price 50s per rig per night.

Nice and clean bathrooms with hot showers, big and powerful kitchen with fridge. Friendly staff.

We went sandboarding with Mario tours, 50s pp, good service.

50s/2p/n in a car with rooftent. Good spot, clean bathroom and pool. Shared kitchen. Just be prepared that you are camping on the parking lot, no campsites free as it is full of their glamping tents.

Report Check-In

As described, great spot.

Pet owners: dogs are not allowed, but we arrived at sundown and asked politely and maybe begged a little and they allowed us, only if we keep our dog by the van. Not many options around for those traveling with mascotas...

Report Check-In

We stayed one night here and it was great, especially to cool off from the Huacachina heat. We slept in our roof top tent in the hotel parking lot, used the bathrooms (great, by the way!), and the kitchen. We paid 50 soles for two people and a Defender.
_______

Report Check-In

As other have said, this THE BEST place to vehicle camp in town. Nice pool for hot afternoons. Don’t worry the nights and mornings are cool. They play Regeaton music from 10-9 pm, but it’s not too loud. Have them arrange a buggy tour and do some sand boarding while here. Ask for the more expensive and longer buggy tour and get the one with the big American V8 engine because they have more power and climb the dunes higher and faster like a roller coaster. Our buggy was called El Tren. You can also do a Pisco tour from here. Be sure to shop for food before you get here because there’s only one store and it’s not very good. Definitely worth a few nights. Enjoy!

Dormimos uma noite aqui no estacionamento do Hotel. Lugar bom pra estacionar.

Report Check-In

It's a really good place to stay for the visit of the dunes. Very clean, nice pool, warm showers, 230V, etc.
Calm during the night

Report Check-In

just a great big surprise. safe secure parking for the LC200 a great setting, facilities are clean and it comes with breakfast for two. a shared kitchen well appointed. if we had time we would stay longer. it's glamping in a tent but it's a lot more. in the middle of a ring of tall sand dunes, there all kind of Adventure past the gate. A Great place to rest up either going up or coming down for Machu Picchu. Ica's secret.

Report Check-In

Came around 20 h. Were full, no place left. And due to the curfew at that time, we were not allowed to stay outside and use their toilets. But staying at the parkinglot nearby was okay for one night.

Report Check-In

This is a glamping spot with large canvas tents covered by shade structures. The pool is clean and there is a bar right next to it. Nice Pisco sour. Tables and pool chairs around. I got some editing work done. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be had. We parked our long sprinter here with no problem. It was sunny and 84 f when there, so we spent our time in the shades, pool, or exploring. We were there on the weekend, and while the town was busy, behind the tall gate this place kept a chill vibe. Yes, there is music, but it was not obnoxiously loud and turned off at a reasonable hour. It’s right at the base of the main entrance to the dunes, so that’s cool too. We are two adults and two kids, 6 and 9 years old, and we all had a great time staying here. Best hot shower I’ve had in 6 months. The 4 hot showers are next to the kitchen. The ones under the pool area are cold only. Enjoy!

Report Check-In

Great place to stay in Huacachina. Relatively big parking lot behind gates. Gate is wide and no height restrictions. Paid a lot (70 Sol per night) but if you want to stay in Huacachina this is the best spot. It's also on the quieter side of the tiny town. I don't know about party on the weekend, but during the week it was very quiet at night. Nice and clean toilet/shower. Swimming pool and very decent wifi. And even though it is very touristy, Huacachina is definitely worth a short visit to do a sandboarding tour and see the amazing dunes. Such a difference with the dunes along the ugly PanAm.

Report Check-In

Amazing structure with swimming pool, kitchen(fridge, stove, microwave, appliances and more), great bathrooms and amazing view.

Tents are not allowed.

50 soles p.p

Report Check-In

hot showers, clean bathrooms, nice pool and restaurant. wifi reaches the van. potable water available on a long hose. perfect location to tour the dunes and oasis.

Report Check-In

Stayed 3 nights here and liked it very much! Don't expect a campground! It is more like a hostel but with tents instead of rooms. No grassy area to pitch up a tent. There is a parking in the middle of the area where we stayed. The pool is really nice and they have a good restaurant which isn't too expensive and really big plates. They also have a kitchen where you can prepare your own meal. Nice and clean bathrooms with hot shower. They first wanted to have 70 SOL, but negotiated 50 SOL as our van is really small.

Report Check-In

Stayed here with our van (6m long). 70 soles a night. Safe, nice pool and good wifi.

Report Check-In

We come here after reading all the nice comments, but first they ask 100 soles for 2 in a car we said no and offer 50 as the previous ones, they said no and when we started to leave they accept. But after entering the gate we see what was this place, we leave straight away. You are like in an arena, the parking is a small flat concrete place with no shade surrounded by the few rooms and the swimming pool. Every body are looking on you and yo have the music from the swimming pools as a bonus!

Report Check-In

Stunning place. No camping, just for motorhomes. We paid 120soles for one of their tents. Cheaper to stay across the road and you can still use the pool etc, but we still loved it!

Report Check-In

Really nice place. Secure fenced-in parking, good for motorcycles. Prime location. 100 soles per night.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for 2 days and paid 50s for 2 persons per day. Really nice place with really clean swimming pool and toilets. Nice restaurant and very good vibes 😎 100% recommended.

Report Check-In

Staff not very friendly. Pets not allowed.
Wifi sometimes don't work at the moment.
But probably the only one place in Huacachina for motorhome...

Report Check-In

good place, the recepcionist control the temperature for covid, we sleep in a van, you have a kitchen with a refrigerator, bathroom with shower and a pool.

Report Check-In

We have past 2 perfects nights. It's a lovely place with hot and cleans showers, and a bar-pool.
We paid 50sol for a tent and 50 for a campervan. There is no lot of place for campervan (6/7places).
The breakfast is very nice and cost 20sol.
I recommend this place !

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Perfect spot! 50 per vehicle/night. Clean facilities. Many hot showers, fully equipped kitchen, nice pool and wifi. Next to amazing dunes.

Report Check-In

They usually don't allow dogs, made an exception for our 2 chihuahuas. The best place around. Still 50 soles, free lime water, great kitchen area. The pool is amazing and so worth it in the heat!

Report Check-In

Great camp, stayed for 2 relaxing days. 50S per night for camper and 2 persons. Very clean bathrooms, hot showers, great pool. Close to dunes and sand-boarding. Had lot of fun.

Report Check-In

Good place but small parking lot, wich means lucky or try to call before for sure. They have rooms; big tents with confortable beds. Kitchen, clean bathrooms&swimming pool. Well management place

Report Check-In

Exactly how others have said however I would be inclined to say that the WiFi is so slow as to not really be usable, even though we were right next to an AP located in the kitchen with maximum signal strength. Lovely spot, clean and organised bathroom area. Good spot to Sandboard, plenty of nearby shops for provisions.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

We tried to stay here on a Sunday mid-day but there was no room in the modest-sized parking lot. The place was swarming with tourists and some of the road access was blocked. The manager was very nice, spoke English, and was obviously keen to help us. He suggested we return in a couple of hours to see if a space would free up but we decided to move on. Maybe best to come here on a weekday.

Report Check-In

Great place a little oasis in the middle of Peru clean hot showers, working wifi, clean toilets with tp & hand towel and a pool with a swim up bar...... we payed 50sol per night for 2 in a e150 van. at the weekend you may want to book WhatsApp +51956000487

Report Check-In

We enjoyed two nights here. Nice spot with pool and a really good cocktail bar. We could use the kitchen there. The bathrooms are clean with hot shower. Sunset on top of the dune was nice.

Report Check-In

We loved this place!!! Very cool atmosphere, super clean and people from all over the world. Pool is great and the food from the restaurant also! Paid 50 soles for 2 people + Land Rover. Highly recommended.

Report Check-In

Great campground/hostel with all the amenities and an awesome hot shower. Friendly people, great restaurant that serves all 3 meals if you want for reasonable price. We could park our 23 feet motorhome inside the parking lot. Right on the dunes of Huacachina.

Report Check-In

highly recommend. place is super nice and secure. Small parking area and when we arrived around 6:30, it was full but staff moved some cars around so we could fit. Kitchen and bathrooms are clean and nice, pool is lovely and we did their dune buggy tour (seems the same as all the other ones in the area) which were extremely happy with. We were going to rent ATVs on our own but we were so happy with the dune buggy tour/sandboarding that we canceled the ATVs

Report Check-In

EXTREMELY NICE SPOT. Your van will be at the parking and you mostly at the swimming pool. The kitchen is well equipped, the facilities very clean with very hot showers and they offer a quick, but rather expensive, laundry service for PEN 7 per kg. PEN 25 pppn.

Report Check-In

As described, staying on concrete parking lot of the ecocamp (all gated and secure) with friendly staff.
50 Soles / night for a truck camper with 2 pax.
Very clean toilets and hot showers. Pool with sun beds and some palapas for shade.
Wifi barely worked when we were there. Price is high for what you get but i guess that’s what you have to pay when you’re in a tourist area...
Booked a buggy tour through them for 50 Soles pp, you can get that cheaper on the streets.

Report Check-In

Nice clean place. Looks like the quiet rescue camp from the touristic hell outside. Showers are hot also! We paid 50s for a van + two.

Not so nice is the not working internet. It’s fast, when it’s there but it is often not. So don’t rely on this.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

As described. Very clean, hot showers and kitchen, electricity, good WiFi. During the night very quiet.
Price 50 Soles for a Rig with 2 persons.

Report Check-In

Paid 60 Soles/night for our RV (2 adults + 3 kids). Very nice setup just next to the dunes, perfectly clean facilities. Price is ok considering what you get.

Report Check-In

Price is now 70S no negociable and people are lot friendly (may be too hot ?) but when you are there with the RV no choice...as already written on the other comments, clean, pool, showers, space only for 4 RV, ground is in concrete. Loudly music late.

Report Check-In

For me this place is top!
The staff is super friendly!
breakfast for 15 soles lunch and dinner for 20 soles are delishes.
I stayed in my tent for 25 soles.
Do not come here on the weekend!
The annoying music from the disco was on the hole night and taxis are honking all the time!

Report Check-In

Amazing place! The nicest we have stayed at in 10 months of travelling. Great price for what you get, lovely place to relax, nice facilities, very clean. No mosquitoes seen this time of year.

Report Check-In

incredible camping with a swim up bar. nice pool, good cocktails and food is ok. you stay on the parking lot, but next to a nice and fully equipped kitchen with a seating area. Bathrooms are nice and clean. don't be afraid, as it seems like a Party place, but everyone is really quiet after 22pm. we were surprised.
nice difference to all other camp sites for a short time

Report Check-In

We stayed two nights there after trying Lucio's place ... it's much better.
Good swimming pool, really good bathroom and kitchen.
A lot of mosquitoes, and no shadow but it's cool at night.
We bargained at 40 soles per night for the two of us.
It's at the bottom of the sand dunes.

Hello
Realy good place to sleep with our motorhome.
Big rig are ok if there is place.
We are 8 meters long, 2.5 large and 3.7 high.
You'll have just a parking place just in front of the tent.
With our children we have enjoy the swimming pool, and the big and great shower.
We have try the buggy tour they propose.
It's more expensive than the other but it's for two hours and the driver (Chucky) is a good and safe conductor
with the buggy, sandy board and the sunset it was a realy good moment in family.
The kitchen for cooking is also nice.
We have pay 50 sols for the truck with 5 persons.

Report Check-In

Great place with swimming pool and next to the dunes and laguna. Not very far from all the buggies where you can simply ask for a ride-better end of afternoon as the sand is not hot or take shoes if you go during the day if you are planning sand board.
Great hot showers with pressure, nice kitchen. Negotiated 50 soles for a big 10m rig, 2 adults and 2 children (normally 70 soles). It was during the week. Parking not big so could be quickly full.

Report Check-In

Awesome place, paid 50 Sol for car with two people. Big outdoor kitchen area, fantastic pool, clean bathrooms. Literally an oasis after some nights in the Paracas desert. It is the most expensive camping we've had in South America so far (coming from the north) but also one of the best. Can highly recommend this place.

Report Check-In

Worth every penny. Super nice place, every detail has been thought of, extremely clean. Stayed 3 nights.
Sandboards: when you walk from the campground to the laguna, there are several huts renting them for 5 soles for a couple of hours. Don't forget to wax them regarly, lots of fun!

Report Check-In

$50 soles per camper. Although considered a party place, very calm and relaxing when we were there. Awesome showers, very clean facilities in general. Ordered the best plate of French fries poolside! If you book dine buggy tour at camp, they only do 2 hour tours for 40 sole pp, including kids, or private for 160. We walked across street, and guy would do 25 soles per person for 1 hour. Perfect for us, less intense drive for the 5 year old! We walked up the dunes several time per day, views were stunning and great to be right next to them. Go mid week to avoid crowds!

Report Check-In

At the end of the road on the left side. You have to ring the bell, then they open the big gate. We paid 50s per night per vehicle. Nice pool, clean bathroom and showers. We could get elecricity from the plug in in the bathroom. Wifi is ok. A little bit noisy as written below, but ok for us. Lots of mosquitos. The whole place is for tourists, so the prices ar high.

Report Check-In

This place really was an oasis for us. we arrived day after Easter and it was quite a different town than when we tried to come here on the Friday before. Charged us 50S per night which btw no longer includes breakie. Pool, banos and showers are super clean. Wifi good, Bitel reception good. Also there is no sign, you'll see a bamboo type fence & gate just a little past and on the other side of the sandy road from Desert Nights hostel. Ring the bell and they'll let you in. No height restriction. It dies get noisy in the late afternoon with dune buggies coming and going but it's not all day and not after dark at all. Partying seems to take place on other side of the lake.

Report Check-In

place as described, nice and clean, pool is great, views too, it’s a bit noisy as all dine buggy drive by starting at 6:30 am, 50 soles but breakfast is NOT included! charged 20 soles extra because we had car plus trailer

Report Check-In

Tried to stay here, but it’s not S25pppn, it’s S50 per vehicle per night. Great for a family, poor value for a solo traveler.

Also noticed there seems to be some confusion between this place and the Desert Night Hostel across the street. I was told they don’t accept vehicles so those entries probably belong to this camp. Confusion is understandable as there is no sign on this metal gate.
