Nice campsite with your own ablution. In April you can only get there by 4x4.Only camping is open. Bar restaurant are closed. We paid MT 1400 for 2 people and cruiser, incl electricity.

Report Check-In

nothing wrong with this place👍 prices okay campsites with shade own abolution and roofed kitchencorner

Report Check-In

We arrived here at 11:00 in the morning. And actually wanted to have breakfast. Unfortunately, when we asked, we were told that breakfast was only available until eleven. Too bad! We then ordered a salad, for which we waited 1 hour. The Greek salad was then without feta cheese, but unfortunately we were not told beforehand that they don't have any feta cheese. For a resort restaurant, this is not a very professional service. We decided to move on as there are better options in the surrounding area.

Report Check-In

The campsite could be nicer, everything a little run down. Its 700 MT pP with own ablution and electricity. But the Restaurant and the pool and of course the ocean are superb!

Report Check-In

Probably less enthusiastic about the campsite than others. The breeze did not reach us at the campsite so relocated to outside the Barracas where we got a great breeze. Showers did not work but they gave us access to the campsite private ablutions. No power for about 4 hours due to maintenance work on the incoming power lies and lodge generator ran out of diesel. Went down to the beach but it was a rubbish tip. Views from the deck are excellent.

Report Check-In

Agree with the nice reviews. Just a word for the food : we ate there and it was more than decent. We got chicken pizza and a half periperi chicken. The pizza was not italian style but still good and with a lot of toppings. The half chicken was well coocked and seasoned perfectly, the chips were above average and it came with fresh veggies as a salad. Extra periperi sauce provided with oil and vinegar. For a empty lodge in the low season, it was far better than what we expected. Prices are ok, 650mets for the half chicken and 400 for a pizza. Staff is friendly and efficient ! You can pay by card.

Report Check-In

we loved it and stayed 3 nights. completly renovated.
we were alone. 7 campsites with own ablutions : hot shower (gas), sink, garbage bins, light, electricity, small protection in case of rain. lot of trees so shade provided.
amazing pool in the resort included in the price of the campsite (otherwise 250MT pp) : big and clean with beautiful views on the sea. we saw a lot of whales from the deck every day.
bar, restaurant, free and fast wifi at the bar.
the campsite has no view but is at walking distance from a lovely beach. lighthouse at 2 kilometers, safe to swim, safe to hike.
take everything with you (water and food because no shops around, just the restaurant!)
5 kilometers from N1 but No 4x4 needed because the sand is not deep.
700 MT pppn, cash or credit card. if you stay 3 nights or more at low season, you can bargain ;-)

Report Check-In

Camling on sand under a big roof with kitchen area and private toilet 600 mets.
Overland with own shower, toilet, braai 700mets.

Lovely place with nice food, but it needs some tlc. The beach was very dirty and the steps to the beach were broken. Very nice pool.

Staff arriving in the morning and leaving at night woke us up. Great for watching sports on TV, but 3 screens on high volume on different channels was a bit much. Staff is friendly.

Report Check-In

700 per person per night
The campsite has private ablutions including toilet, shower and electricity. There is a restaurant with an amazing view over the beach. We spotted many whales here!
You can also walk down to the beach.

Report Check-In

Great location on endless stretch of clean white sandy beach perfect for walking and whale watching. Beautiful deck overlooking the ocean with great wi-fi. Nice pool. Restaurant OK, we only ate there once. Camping sites down a little hill away from the beach no cell reception at campsites on movitel. But sites are pleasant with clean ablutions hot water showers. 700 met pp pn.

Report Check-In

The ablution blocks (of which seven are private) have been renovated in the camp site. Clean and nice hot water.

Report Check-In

I was the only person at the camp site. I find that in low season all camp sites are not really looked after. Great view from the deck but camping area not really amazing. OK for a 1 night stop

Report Check-In

Very good campsite. 700mt per person. Bar has good view over beach just 2mn walking down. Fish meals at the restaurant for 650m/850 mt. Good wifi. Private ablutions/sink/electricity ,on green grass. Close to other campers. Trampoline+nice pool. Sandy road to access with a couple of hills but didn’t need to engage h4 mode.

Report Check-In

NOT fair value for money!
Mt 700/ppn for a run down private ablution, in which the (truly hot) shower didnt work properly and could not be repaired, no cleaning/rubbish removal during our stay of 3 nights (definitely one too much) – this is overcharging … and while they are very friendly, they are not willing to negotiate (some silly excuse „the price is in the system“, but they cant even provide a proper receipt from the ‚system‘ … and at the camping there is nothing visible from the renovations they claim the did)
Restaurant setting is very nice … but prices are high … we gave it a miss.
For big rigs, it is just about accessible, but there is virtually only one or max two sites to choose from and still then quite difficult to maneuver (for us, they had to and were kind enough to cut half a tree away). So it really depends how big your big rig is (hence changed „Big Rig friendly“ to „unknown“)
Bottom-line: not recommended

Report Check-In

Campsite is not great. Abolitions need renovations. Place is a little bit outdated and need some renovations on the campsites. Restaurant and swimming pool where nice

Report Check-In

Nice place with a good set up. I think the great deals may be a thing of the past. 1400MET for 2ppl camping, asked for a discount and they told me that was already cheap :) Small beer 200MET. Didnt eat there. Ocean is great for swimming. They didnt clean the bathroom until the 2nd day, but then a nice guy came around who offered to clean anything from dishes to your vehicle for a fee. All in, nice stop.

Report Check-In

We had a great night’s stay at Sunset Lodge.
The camping facilities were excellent with private bathroom, braii facilities, shaded spot for sleeping and covered area for eating. Easy access to the beach + playground for kids.

The lodge has had major renovations since the previous reviews and the pool/bar/restaurant were all fantastic with incredible views. Would highly recommend stopping here.

Report Check-In

There are two type of campingspots. the standard spot with your own ablution and the barraca with shared shower (private bathroom). The barraca is a little bit cheaper.
Well maintained site. Restaurant at the top with a view over the beach. Swimming pool available. They painted the word in the playground black (with tar) so it's not usable anymore.

MT480 (for adults, children MT240) for the barraca.

Report Check-In

Campsites are nice and shady with grass, we are the only ones camping so it’s peaceful, protected from the wind. Our toilet and shower looks like it hasn’t been cleaned properly as there’s still sand in the shower and on the floor. We watched F1 up at the restaurant/bar which was a plus. Free WiFi at the bar too. The “infinity” pool isn’t quite what I thought but good enough to swim in. The beach is a good 300metres walk, worth it though. Saw some monkeys while setting up camp but they haven’t been any trouble so far. All in all a nice place to stay over. 480mets pp

Report Check-In

We enjoyed staying here. The whole place could do with a bit of maintenance. The showers were hot and the swimming pool was great. Our kids loved the beach. Nice and quiet - no hawkers around. We didn’t enjoy the food at the restaurant. Better to cook for yourself.

Report Check-In

Ok campground, ablutions very outdated and dirty. We used our own shower instead of the showers in the ablution block.
Nice clean pool, but everything needs some serious TLC here.. deck chairs falling apart.
Overall we had a pleasant stay, would not recommend, but definitely ok for one night

Report Check-In

We paid 420 Mzn per person. Nice swimming pool. Beach got lots of plastic but that seems to be the theme in Mozambique. Ablutions dirty and stained shower curtain and dirty walls. The cleaning only consist of sweeping the floor. The groundskeeper very helpful with giving me gear oil from there store. The place would be nice if the fix the ablutions.

Report Check-In

Nice camping with own ablution block. Bit outdated, but everything works. Quite some geckos in the ablution, but we were lucky enough not to have mosquitoes. We paid R105 pppn and stayed 4 nights.

Fair pricing for drinks and you have to try their Cray fish Termidore (with cheese and mushroom sauce) it was divine!

Report Check-In

We passed a quiet night in our RTT. Nice to have a private bathroom. paid 400pp.

Report Check-In

400 mts pppn.
Grassy area with some flat parts. Each camping spot has it own toilet and shower with sink. Needs a little TLC, but shower was hot and clean.
Cant see the beach from campsite, few minutes walk down the dunes to the beach.
Swimming was nice and had a large bar/decking area. Was very quiet whilst we were there so lacked atmosphere but the food was tasty and came out quickly.

Report Check-In

Cheap and really good stop-over if you’re headed to or from Tofu. We payed 400mtz. Nice view from the deck over the ocean and camping spots with their own abolition were clean and well maintained.

Definitely recommended!

Report Check-In

We stayed at this site twice over a week. We loved this campsite, best in Moz. We stayed in the site with the private ablutions and we were the only ones there. Camping 400Mets pppn. Crayfish in the Restaurant was delicious and bargain priced, and highly recommended.

Report Check-In

honestly I didn't like this campsite. I had high expectations from the reviews but
1. the reception guy only offered us the more expensive campsite, which is in april still 400mt pppn
2. the private ablution is old, which would be fine this is usual but the tiny ablution was FULL of mosquitos! and trust me we have been to a lot of campsites in africa but this is extreme. you can't sit on the toilet without 20 mosquitos trying to bite you, and in a malaria high risk area this is not fun! also the ablution is obviously a nice place for many other insects etc. so that the fact that we didn't have a toilet seat wasn't that bad..
so yes the pool and the view from the deck is really beautiful and nice for that price but other than that I wouldn't recommend it, it's a mosquito nightmare!

Report Check-In

Beautiful please and really great camping. There is two options:
1. Camping 320 mt/pppn with roof and sand and communal bathrooms (you cannot fit there if you have rooftop tent)
2. Camping 400mt/pppn with private bathroom, braai area, shaded spot and sink to make dishes.
We were there in late January so it was off season, so there was only one more car. The pool is big, with perfect view over ocean. Beach long and beautiful but be careful when you enter the water cause there are some rocks on the bottom. Restaurant: big disappointment, pretty expensive (most meals cost more than 450mt), food wasn’t very good (grilled calamari were good, shrimp curry looked and tested as vomit, Portuguese chicken- one of the worst we had in Mozambique). Maybe it’s because it was after the peak season. Recommended but better bring your own food.

Report Check-In

Beautiful clean beach and lodge. Excellent campsite with own ablutions and electricity - no sea view. Had the best crayfish ever in the restaurant - affordable.

Report Check-In

Nice place to spend a couple of nights. Very friendly staff, Nice infinitypool, long beachwalks possible and very safe!
Pay’d 95 rand/pax.

Report Check-In

Low season camping is now 380mts pppn. As below, still get private ablutions and dinners (and beer) still delicious and reasonably priced. Even in mid “winter”, during SA school breaks, it’s better to book ahead.

Report Check-In

Great place, very relaxing, perfect standard, gorgeous pool and fantastic view from the restaurant deck. We took the Baraca campground - suitable for big trucks. All well maintained, good and cheap meals - fish Mtc 320

Report Check-In

Wow, what a beautiful place.Luxury campingspots with your own ablusion.
The view at the deck by the restaurant is wonderful, overlooking the ocean.
Nice wooden deck aroud the clean swimming pool with chairs. Ring the bell and order from the bar. The beach is nice but not special. No palmtrees but rocky plateaus on the shore. But you can walk for miles. It is safe!
And this all for ..................Just 330 Mt pp. I think, this is a steel ;-) So for me 4 ****

Report Check-In

Camping under shade with private ablutions. Nice lodge and swimming pool with great views
