Report Check-In

So far the most beautiful spot of our whole trip through Baja, however, the security of the complex nearby was checking us out from the distance around 3am and after 10 minutes the police car arrived. The policeman didn't speak much English, but told us it's not allowed to park here during night time - therefore marking this spot as 'closed'.

Report Check-In

Tried to stay here but cars coming/going with very loud music until 2am meant we gave up and moved on to find somewhere else.

Wow! This just felt like going on vacations 😍. The beach is VERY clean, outdoor showers (warm) and clean flush toilets.
Turtles come here to lay their eggs. The sea was rough when we were here, but normally it is a beautiful place to go snorkelling (as the guards said). Would go back anytime!

Parking the Beach

Report Check-In

Stayed one night; until 11pm some cars passed by and parked for a while at the parking lot..some with music but not to bad; after that we had a calm and safe night; the beach and the restrooms are very tidy and well maintained

Beautiful beach! Clean and safe beach and parking area. Friendly staff at kiosk on the way in. Very clean modern bathrooms with outdoor showers. Myself and two others small rig campers were here last night. No one bothered us. Road is very easy access. Pets not allowed on beach but okay in parking area. Hillsides provide good shielding from wind and no bugs.

Report Check-In

We spent one night there, very nice public beach, no problem of access with a 24' RV.

Report Check-In

We stay for one night, was ok, a car came in the night with laud music but they just stayed for awhile. Good cold showers there.

realy nice place to camp. regular bathrooms are closed but there are 2 chemical bathrooms (not clean).

Report Check-In

We stayed here for one night. In the afternoon some locals/tourists came by, and even at midnight a car showed up with crazy loud Mexican music, we got out and asked nicely to lower it and they left. Also at around 3am another car came by, but did not stay. Overall, it was very calm and felt safe, although we didn’t feel super comfortable as it's a dead end road and if something bad happened here, it's easy to block your way out, but there are surveillance cameras working 24h, so it was fine. Free outdoor showers and toilets. Dogs are not allowed on the beach, but there’s no problem if they stay in the parking lot. It's a shame they built a wall and you can't see the sea from the parking. Anyway, there aren't many options to overnight around San José del Cabo. It was fine here. Decent Telcel signal.

Nice beach. Showers available. Space for at least 5 big rigs + 10 cars. You can't go with your vehicle to the beach, there's a concrete wall as mentioned before. Still really good place

Report Check-In

Beautiful place, nice outdoor showers, we saw whales. During the week empty. Recommended!

Small parking lot at Playa Las Viudas. Unfortunately the view is blocked by a new concrete bridge to access the new hotels being built. Pit toilets and outdoor beach showers available. The beach is nice & clean, a bit of shade available near the rocks to the right.

Report Check-In

Great spot. Beach is beautiful, camping is allowed and secure, beach and parking lot are groomed, trash cans, portapotties, outdoor showers. Not many people here, just a couple other vans camping. Great spot for snorkeling. I was told you used to be able to park on the beach here a year or so ago but there is now a large wall separating the parking lot from the beach.

Nice little beach. Now, there is cold showers.
Easy with big rigs.
Sometime, loud music with Mexicans.
It's better to stay on the hill or need ear plugs.

Report Check-In

Place has nice new outdoor showers, toilet and running water. It's also guarded by three cameras 24/7 - a guard came and talked to me and told me that it's safe and showed me the cameras :)
Stayed here for 2 nights - first one was perfect and tranquil, second (weekend) three local cars with super loud music and drunks came and partied for about and hour during the night (each car separately, so not too much sleep that night)
Stay during the week :)

Update: no animals allowed on beach now! Nice place but couldn't enjoy it with our dogs.

What Phil said. Nice swim beach, popular with locals and good to camp at. Party beach music and people until 4am.

Adding Google maps satellite image. Stay left at both junctions as you are aiming for the left side of the hill

Sorry for multiple posts but figured more info is a good thing. For the security conscious, as well as the guard nearby there are many CCTV cameras covering the area. There were a few others parked overnight but felt v safe here, especially as we parked just off the main parking area.

Report Check-In

Nice beach, although small as sandwiched between 2 rocky outcrops. Good for swimming and snorkeling.

Parking area was nicely groomed and enough for about a dozen cars and. There are portaloos/rubbish bins so someone is obviously paying for its upkeep. On either side are posh new resort walls so get the feeling it's not going to be public access for long. I did ask the security guard at the resort wall and he said it was fine to camp.

Dont follow Google maps (takes you to gates of new large private resort) but instead drive a further 2km west and follow signs for beach. We road stops continue on good gravel road and stay left at 2 junctions.

Report Check-In

Beach camping. Porta potties. We were here on a Friday night and it was less than tranquil but a nice beach nonetheless.
