Temporarily closed (No idea how long)! When we arrived here we were informed by a woman that they doing some renovation and so it is not accepted to camp here. Even we were not allowed to stay on the meadow. Sehr said we have to go.....

We stayed here in the off season so were on our own for 3 days. Great views and top camp spot. The donkey was lit morning and night but the showers could do with better shower heads. Cost was R200 per day for two on a powered site so has gone up and is a bit expensive for what you get. We did have a -10c morning which was a shock and it even caused a couple of water pipes to burst. One evening the owner came out and let off about 20 shots from his gun which was a bit disconcerting. Over all we loved our three days there though!👍

Beautifull place. All surrounded bij the Drakenberg hills. Located at 1900 mtr, so it can be chilly at night.
Price still R50 pp.
Close to the Golden Gate NP.
We recommend this place!

as sais before: nice little camp, friendly and only RND 50 ppn without electricity. horserides, falls and mountainbiking possible.

Nice rustical place in the hills. Friendly owner had the donkey fired for us, although we arrived late after Sunset. Our dog was no problem. Very fair: 50 ZAR pp, we did not need electricity.

Very nice place with lots of horses and playground for children. Ablution is basic, but OK. You can do horse riding ( we did the 2 hours Tour- great!), Mountain biking, hiking, shooting/hunting. Prices as written below you can negotiate about children/ family tarifs.

Small campsite on farm which specialises in cowboy horse riding. Simple ablutions with hot showers, braai stands and nice countryside. They have a bar and serve food but you might have to call ahead for the latter. 50R (3,30€) pp or 80R (5,20€) pp including electricity.
