350 pesos/ 24 hours. Toilets/ shower may or may not be available. great birding right here. Farid or Carlos, camp hosts can steer you to some good birding spots. Chacala is having a hard time with garbage. what you bring in, take out with you. please
bring your bug dope!

Report Check-In

Great spot directly on the beach. Restaurants and shopping nearby. Watch out for coconuts falling down! Toilets and showers available but very simple and you have to pay every time

Report Check-In

This was a great grassy spot right on the beach! It’s a big area so plenty of space to find a good spot. It’s also a parking area for the beach so it clears out a lot during the evening. The toilets and showers are separate and cost 10 pesos for the toilet and I think 15 for the shower

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot - we stayed 3 nights but could easily have stayed longer.
350 pesos per night for our vehicle though toilets are extra.
Gets very very busy at weekends with coaches full of day trippers arriving.
Recommend parking a little distance away from the noisey restaurant.

Report Check-In

350 pesos per night
During semana Santa don’t accept Rv’s to park only cars and tents for camping and the price is double (700 pesos per night for 6x6 meters).

The only offer water for rvs or you pay 15 pesos for showers.

We stayed 8 days. Price is better if you pay weekly.

The beach is beautiful!!
There are restaurants and small supermarkets.

Pets are allowed.

There are no banks, only some MTM ‘s.

Rods is ok to get there.

Report Check-In

A Perfect spot by the Beach. We stayed longer than exoected. Great camping On the grass in a palm grove, yet right on the Beach. Restaurant with wifi nearby, a laundry that brings you your cleaned clothes right to the beach and you can take lukewarm showers for 15 pesos and use toilets for 5 pesos, restrooms are located at the back. The Beach gets fully packed at the weekends though.

Report Check-In

Beautiful camping spot. Wasn’t busy when we were there and got a spot by the beach. Very tranquil and a good place to relax at the beach. Only small tiendas in town, but have everything you need. We didn’t use the washrooms or showers, there is water taps but we didn’t use them either, likely just ask the guard and it’ll be fine. Price is 350. Recommend La Palma coffee shop that’s just down the street, get a boat to the surf and hiking the volcano nearby.

Report Check-In

Great place to stay. Beautiful palm beach, lovely small town.
350 pesos per car 15 showers 5 toilet. We had a great time in this season. Calm neighbors and beautiful sea.

Report Check-In

Beautiful big palm-studded grassy field going up to the beach. Front row spots on beach mostly taken with a mix of gringos and locals on Christmas holidays, but still space back from the beach for private camping. Mx$350/night, gate attendant said for stays of 8 or more nights there is a discount. Pay to use bathrooms (5pesos) and showers (15pesos). I didn’t pick up any wifi signal.

Report Check-In

We stayed here on a Thursday night, there were 6 or 7 tour buses in the car park and cars parked all along the beach front. Lots of people even after the tour buses left. Noisy all evening and people still singing at midnight. We found a nice little spot under a big fig tree which gave good shade. Its nice here but if you’re looking for a secluded paradise this isn’t it.

Report Check-In

The site is gorgeous. Yes 350 is a bit steep for no service but still totally worth it. They owe nearly half of the bay and the property is for sale, so enjoy while you can ! You can fill your truck with water.

Report Check-In

This place is a paradise.

But… 350 pesos a night and you don’t get any service, not even bathrooms, which cost 10 pesos and are far from OK.

Whatever, is an amazing place to stay and it’s totally worth it. BUT, DO NOT COME OVER WEEKENDS. It looses all the magic.

Pd: There is an unbelievable coffee shop around the town, called Lilxit Bread Shop. Their people are friendly, and they have WiFi, which is always a plus.

Report Check-In

Amazing place! We were the only RV over Valentine’s Day weekend. Other locals were in tents. Fews buses showed up Saturday and Sunday. Beach is amazing. Soft, silky sand. Great if you have kids, water is shallow for a long stretch.
We were asked for $350 pesos/night (2 night). When we asked when the price went up, they said before the last holidays - Dec 2020. Still worth every pesos

Report Check-In

Nice beautiful open beach camping. Sign said closed due to covid but they let you in if you ask. Charged $350 though. Not sure why but it wasn’t almost sunset so we didn’t mind.

Report Check-In

nice place but the price is always 250 pesos per night! no matter how many nights

Report Check-In

It's an absolutely amazing place, we stay 3 times here. Avoid the weekend. At weekdays a perfect place. Very nice people and a safe spot.

Report Check-In

As described. Great place, great village, no hookups but filled up our water tank close to the entrance to stay a few more days. Paid 250 pesos per night, pay for one week it's 170 per night. Safe place with a guard at night. No wifi but my data came in great. BONUS: got to watch the whales off in the distance right from the beach with my binoculars. 5 stars if you don't mind no hookups.

Huge dry camping area on a grassy lawn under coconut palms directly at the nice beach of Chacala without amenities (ramshackle toilets 5 Pesos, showers 15 Pesos). You hear music from the restaurants till sunset, but very quiet during the night.

Report Check-In

Is as all comments stated previously. Expensive at 250p p/night, 170p p/night if you stay 8 nights. Early one morning we hiked to the top of the volcano. Unmarked trail accessed at end of campground, best to walk with a gringo local as it’s not easy to find. Can be noisy with brass bands playing till 1am. Beach & campground is clean. Gate is locked at night. Pay upon entry and receipt is given. Stunning sunset. Very family friendly, our kids spent a solid 6 hrs playing in the water.

Report Check-In

As beautiful as mentioned in all comments, price is now 250p p/night, if you stay 8 nights price is 170p p/night. Gates are locked at night. Bugs come out at dusk for a couple of hours and are then gone. Can be noisy with brass bands till 1am. We hiked to the top of the volcano early morning for a lovely view over the bay, access is unmarked trail at far end of campground. Totally safe & recommend camping here a few days. Beach & camp is clean. We found it to be too expensive, but it is a tourist location, stayed 2 nights. We also had our laundry done with overnight service. Excellent wifi signal. Stunning sunsets.

Report Check-In

day use: 60 pesos
nice beach to go with chilldren

Report Check-In

As described. Extremely busy on a holiday weekend but on our Monday night stay all the Mexican campers and bus loads of visitors had left. Price was $250 pesos a night and we were given a receipt. Garbage bins all over the area were emptied after folks had left. Overall a very nice place for the price.

Report Check-In

Very nice, in fack we were supposed to stop by 1 day, we decided to stay 6 days

Report Check-In

Fantastic place, somewhat undiscovered dry camping, huge grassy area park lengthways on beachfront. Not allot of gringos, Mexicans come on the weekend and at that time busy, come Monday almost all to yourself again. Clean showers and toilets for 5 and 10 pesos. There is nowhere to dump so good for at least a week.

Report Check-In

To clarify rates, 250 per night, but if you stay a week it's 150 per night

Report Check-In

Right on a very beautiful beach. You can park your RV just next to the beach on the grass. Accessible for big RV. There are many great restaurants next to it on the beach. Great place to rest, you can paddle or enjoy body board. There are not electricity but bathrooms.

Report Check-In

As described in previous posts. Price is all over the place, it seems. I asked the security guards at the gate for the 1 night compared to the 3 or more night price and it was 230 x amount of nights. No 150 for 3 days or more. Pretty freekin expensive! But it was exceptionally clean and well patrolled, by said guards at gate. Toilets/Shower building is 5 star as far as cleanliness. 5 peso for toilet 10 for shower. Was there mid week so didn’t encounter the weekend deluge of large groups. Had my pick of locations to pitch my tent.

Report Check-In

Very nice, we stayed there 3 nights, very quiet and beautiful. Highly recommanded

Report Check-In

Great spot right on the beach. Price is $150 pesos/night. We were told no discounts unless you stay a week or more. Bathrooms aren’t included. Nice little town!

Report Check-In

150 pesos for one night, mostly Mexican families here and really lovely!

Report Check-In

As described but we paid $150 pesos for one night. Mornings on the beach are quiet during the week and afternoons moderately busy.

Report Check-In

Ther
e Is an investigation going on, don't know why. IT Is free and police are securing the place. 3 campers here and 2 tents.

Report Check-In

Apparently the town revolted against the owners and have potentially shut down their operation. Which means we slept here for free last night. We asked three different people and they all said to go for it. Had a great nights rest, no interruptions.

Report Check-In

Prices seem to be in flux. Was told 230 a night regardless of length of stay. Not flexible, and no explanation for the change. Lot was mostly empty in the low season, and showers and bathrooms are not included, nor is electricity. Not sure what they're on about, we left and parked on the streets just fine.

Report Check-In

Great beach camping but a heads up on the prices. We were told Mx 230 for one night or Mx 150/night for 3 nights but what you're not told is you cannot pay for one more night. We went to pay for another night, too late to leave of course and were told we would have to pay for 3 more nights or an extra Mx 450, even though we only want to stay one! Crazy but that's their policy. Thanks to my wife's negotiating skills, excellent Espanol and a couple of phone calls from the attendant to the boss they gave us credit for the night we had paid for and we paid an extra Mx 300 for 2 more nights. It's a beautiful beach, the locals clean the beach in the morning, there are some great hammock trees, small stores for basics, good restaurants, we bought a nice pargo (snapper) at the pescaderia, 2nd street on the right. Just be aware that it's one night or multiples of three.

Report Check-In

Grand terrain avec beaucoup de palmier. Aucun service sauf des toilettes à 5 pesos et douches à 10 pesos. Très belle plage et tranquille en semaine. Nous nous sommes stationnés en bordure de la plage. Accès de 230 pesos.

Report Check-In

This place is vers Nice, camping price is variable. Se paid 150 per night as well as 5 other RV. For an extra tent it was 450 for both. Go figure, it’s Mexico

Report Check-In

Huge space, which was almost entirely empty when I was here. I had my choice of places backing directly to the beach. It's a pretty spot, and great for beach restaurants or beach walking. Very quiet at night.

Report Check-In

We were the only people here overnight so we got a good spot just off the beach. Price has increased to 230 pesos, toilet 5 pesos, shower 10 pesos. Zero bugs until dark, then the mosquitos got very bad. Great spot just a bit expensive.

Report Check-In

Nice place but very crowded by locals in the period around the Christmas.

Report Check-In

great spot under big palm trees and just behind the beach, 150p/night, safe, guards at night

Report Check-In

150 pesos per night, separate fee for restrooms and showers. Unfortunately we were woken up by local kids with some loud music (5:30 am). Besides that, nice place!

Report Check-In

New prices: 220 pesos / vehicle / night. Stay 5 days and it will be 130 per night. Parking on gras under palm trees right at the beach. Great place, and good infrastructure nearby: try a margarita at the las brisas bar and enjoy the good wifi.

Report Check-In

We stayed here one night and it was one of our favourite spots. Large parking area right next to a beautiful beach. 24 hr security. No hook-ups, but nice clean w/c and showers for a small fee. Cold water only. Near restaurants and shops. Paid 130 pesos / a night. We are pulling a small trailer, may be cheaper in single vehicle. Loved it!

Report Check-In

Great spot. Prices have gone up to 130 pesos (jam 2015).

Report Check-In

Parking only. No facilities. Bathrooms and showers available nearby for a separate fee. This is an amazing beach but it will fill up with buses on the weekends, so try to hit it during the week. We loved it.
