Description

*Overnight parking/camping is NOT available at this location.
.....
Nice campground, free, shower, food and drinks sold, bathroom for 1s if purchasing nothing else... No sand flies or far less than at baja... Friendly owner and unsure why but significantly quieter than other campsites.

closed but still we stayed here. no bathroom, no shower, no store with water or anything else. if you need a place to camp is perfect, but dont count on anything else.

Report Check-In

The place is open but as many campgrounds in this valley they close from time to time for a day or two (mostly when they need to hike to the city to do groceries). You can ask at the registration office down near the river if they are open before you climb all the way here. The owner is nice, there are much less mosquitos than at Santa Rosa Baja.

Report Check-In

Open, 5/s per night, showers and water, meals and food items available for sale. Very friendly owner.

Report Check-In

We didn't stay, but is was open on the way up and down, at Choquequirao we talked to a group they stayed there 1 night before. It is possible that campsites sometimes are not open....

Save yourself the walk back down and stop at Santa Rosa Baja. I though I would save myself the extra mile the next morning but when I got here it was closed and looked abandoned not even any water source. Perhaps it's only open in busy season

Report Check-In

Closed when we arrived, but we let ourselves in anyway as we couldn't hike any further (and we were sure not going back down to Baja!) running water, free (we left 5sol under their door to say thank you). Check at the shop at Santa Rosa Baja to make sure the lady running this camping is home before you commit, like we did. Baja looked really nice, and was open!
