Donation is optional but appreciated..
Nice rest area away from the road. Only 4 hour stay limit. No over night.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Dump station still open with non-potable water… donation box next to it.
Report Check-InSpend the night here undisturbed. Was nice and quiet for a rest stop. Signs do say the limit is 4 hours, but took a gamble snd had no issues.
Report Check-InSign states 4 hr stay but I and others were able to sleep over night. The park rangers did come by in the morning and was asking people to leave.
Report Check-InThe title says campground, but the campground is across the 101. slept here for a night. 6pm-6am 4 hour limit ok parking, but I parked here for 1 night and was not disturbed. Be aware, the State forest patrols/rangers do come around checking the parking lots, but so long as you are respectful, clean, and considerate you should be ok.
Report Check-Inoff of the hwy, no noise, says 4 hour parking 6pm to 6am nightly, the bathrooms are above the parking so for a woman I parked at top and used then came back down to the parking lot, not walking through the trees lol
Report Check-InGPS. 42.064755,-124.301617

Report Check-InGood place to boondock in a pinch. Cannot in any other place in Brookings. Late evening and early morning but good place to spend the night.
Report Check-InVisited for the bathrooms, it’s open! Bathrooms, some visitor information, and a water fountain. Decent amount of grass for any pets.
BUT ONLY 4hr PARKING from 6pm to 6am now. Good for water and bathrooms, I wouldn’t try to stay too long I guess.
Report Check-InAs described. Knew I would get the note but was too tired to worry about it. No one knocked or anything. Quiet night and slept well. I left at 8:30 am.
Report Check-InRest stop, toilets and dumpsite open. Donation box for dumpsite wasn't there so free??? Very clean restrooms and easy to use dumpsite. Lots of RV parking spots.
Report Check-Inperfect place! two level: down for the cars and up for rv/truck/carvan.
we was up with our car because no there is noise from the road.
it's free from 6pm until 6 am. we leave with problems.
little signal for phone.
Report Check-InStill running ok, donation box. Enter campsite and let staff know you just want the sani dump. Very friendly
Report Check-InArrived at 10:30 pm and departed at 5:30 am to avoid the impending note on the windshield. Had no issues. There were other camper vans and RVs who stayed longer, also had no note. Didn't check water/dumping situation as it was dark and we didn't want to make ourselves obvious.
Report Check-InSpent the night even though there was a no overnight camping sign... like the person before, got a paper on my window. That’s it. Quiet after midnight
Report Check-InRecommend enjoying the beach all day & watch the sunset ~ drive on over to the rest area, make sure to get by 6am! They left me a flyer stating is 4 hour parking around 7:30am. Oops ~ I also recomend getting a meal at Panchos, prawn burrito was so filling!
Report Check-InDitto. No portable water. You can go across the street to the state park and check in ad registration booth to get water. I haven’t gone yet but I saw other users say it’s donation based at the state park for water.
Report Check-Inno potable water. dump only. sign saying not potable and $140 fine for improper use of water (car washing, etc)
Report Check-InSign says 4 hours but I stayed all night two nights in a row. Not sure how strict they are?
Report Check-InBetween 6 pm and 6 am you are only allowed to park or rest for 4 hours.
Report Check-InNice rest area away from the road. Nigh parking from 6pm to 6am. Dump station and water.
Report Check-InThis is also Harris Beach state park. Great sites, some ocean view, very good toilet blocks and lots of space between sites. Beach access. We paid $20 for a tent site- rates go up to $29 for full hookup
