Easy to find place where can be parked overnight. In fact it’s not a public parking, it’s an ice factory. But they accept vehicles to stay on their property. Very friendly and secure, they even register the vehicle. We paid 15 PEN for our truckcamper, for 24 hours. There is a school next to it, with a small sports field, where children are playing some time during the day. We don’t know about facilities that can be used, because we use our own. Next to their parking lot, they have a small supermarket too.
Report Check-InReally great place. Safe secure and really close to downtown and the boats to the islands. We paid 15 for 2 and a van per night
Report Check-InTerrible place...
Loud peruvian music and dogs barking all night...
I asked at 11PM to turn down the music and the guy turn off, but at 06:45 the owners arrived and turn on the loud peruvian music again...
Really good to wake up after a bad night...
its unbelievable the comments below about quite place :(
Really a very good spot, safe, quite, 20 min walking to port or plaza des armas. We paid for a small motorhome with two persons 15 soles for the night and 5 soles for the day. Closes at 9,30 pm.
Report Check-InThere was a fairground going on, not sure how long and when it will be available to parking and camping again.
Report Check-InWe had a terrible time getting there. Our GPS led us on streets we couldn’t even drive on. We finally hired a mototaxi to lead us there. It had a full amusement park sent up inside. They said we could stay but the amusement park would be open all afternoon, evening and the next day. No thanks! The mototaxi driver led us to another secure lot near the port where boats leave for the islands.
Report Check-InA good secure place to park and a quiet nights sleep. We tried the hostels with parking for vans, too far out or the road was chained off. We went to the wildcamp that’s along the river that says Omar ect for uros trips-no luck but we did come across James (Hami) who took us on a great trip for 15Bs each, a little English but great info. Island family do he hard sell on gifts and they are over priced. We bought a few things-but watch what you get at the end, we were a necklace short! The guide was good. You meet him half way along to the island big hotel-we parked and it was fine. His number is +(Peru code) for what’s app- 976 932 489.
Report Check-Inconfirm everything that is already said. safe and quiet place. we left our RV whilst visiting the islands for 2 days 1 night. 10 min walk to port. paid 15s per night.
