Kenya
Located not far inside the Voi Gate of Tsavo East National Park, it is a nice clear camping ground with plenty of trees to provide abundant shaded areas under which to park vehicles and set up tents. Toilet and shower block are very clean with running water. Cooking and washing block available. Wild animals present as this is inside a National Park so the usual precautions ought to be taken like lighting a fire, sleeping must be inside your tent, avoid leaving food stuff outside and no feeding of animals and so on.

I am very disappointed with the run-down condition of the place. It is unacceptable that the facilities are in such a poor state, with water leaking everywhere and makeshift solutions in place. We paid R2900 for one night, and this experience is truly disheartening.
Report Check-InPark fees make this basic camp expensive, but the ablution are clean and the camp is open to wildlife including elephants. Beware of baboons. They will not only take food, they will open and break anything left unattended. Unlike most of the park, there are shade trees.
Report Check-InGood campsite with elephants, giraffes, impalas, baboons and lesser kudus inside the camp coming to eat figue fruits. Cold shower, flush toilets available. Good Safaricom internet signal. 20 USD ppn for internationals + park fees.
Report Check-InPublic Campsite close to the Voi gate but inside Tsavo East National Park.
Very wild camp with plenty of Elephant, Eland, Baboons, impala and predators around the camp.
Western toilets and running cold water available but ablution blocks and kitchen area in a poor state. Had shower from the hosepipe one night because the water in the ablutions had run out.
Camp attendant can organise good firewood for a small fee.
We paid, Covid 2021 special:
US$30 Conservation fees pppn
US$20 Camping fee pppn
US$6 Car fee per day.
Was worth the stay despite the poor ablutions as it had by far the most wildlife in the camp that we have seen in Africa.
Report Check-InWonderful campsite, only 13 km from the A109 and still in the wilderness. Impalas, giraffes and the "red" elephants from Tsavo East roam around the campsite. The toilets and showers are mediocre, but usable. Beautiful old trees with lots of shade, but also more open areas. We stood here for 2 nights.
Report Check-InNice campsite at a beautiful spot inside the park. Ablutions clean. Soap provided. All doors have locks that prevent animals from entering. Toilets and kitchen area have lights. Caretakers friendly. I saw some animals at night. In the afternoon giraffes passed by my car. There is a waterhole nearby. I was the only guest and stayed here on my way to Malindi
Report Check-InA good example of a bad campsite in a national park! Drunk caretaker, toilet almost crumbling with a baboon inside!! Not functioning shower and animals, 16 lions, roaming in the campsite at night! Not for faint-hearted! Too pricey for all that!
