Other campsites were closed or full so we came here. best showers in a long time (wood-heated), nice tent sites, not much car camping because you have to camp on a dirt patch. 8000 pesos 2 people and car. wifi around their house. rent the hotpot for an additional 10'000!
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
The hot shower (wood heated) is much appreciated after hiking to Lago Cerro Castillo. The shared kitchen-lounge building is also nice if it rains. Wifi worked mostly fine. We paid 16 000 pesos for two persons and a van including electricity.
Report Check-InEverything is excellent, water, electricity, wifi. The prices are as listed earlier. A good place to wash your car after the mud of the Carretera Austral.
Report Check-InThe place is very simple. The wifi is average , the light is not good. A bit expensive, they charge 8.000 pp plus 8.000 for the motorhome.
The owner is not feiendly
Dear moderators, this campsite has been renamed to Al Galope. Same owners (I think). But you may want to change the name of this icon or copy all the reviews to the Al Galope icon.
Report Check-Ineverything as described. Good campsite, still the same price - 8000 CLP. Recommended.
Report Check-InGood campground inbetween the mountains. Nice lady running the place. Various options to stay. We camped on the grassy field, for 8.000 pesos per person (good price). Although pretty windy there were spots out of the wind. Decent and clean sanitary, 2 toilets and 2 showers per gender. Hot water 8-11 and 18-21hrs. Nice shared refugio with good wifi. Horses walking around over the campground. Cerveceria nearby.
I think all four campsites mentioned here on iOverlander are the same spot. It changes names a few times. Didn't see any signs of other campsites around.
Report Check-InWe were late and did not find anything else. There is a common area with a kitchen and place for several cars and tents. Not many toilets and showers (I think 2 or 3 toilets but there were quite a few people here) and pretty expensive (8000 per person) for what they offer. hot water only in the morning and evening.
Report Check-InVery nice spots! Hot showers between 8-11 and 18-21h. Common area with good wifi (very fast upload). Fridge in the common area as wel.
Paid 8000 pp to sleep in the van.
Camping, cabanas, dome houses, shared rooms, tuna clients, horse riding.
We took the habitacion, small clean room with private bathroom for 35000, hot shower.
8000CLP pppn for camping. Open in October, very good wifi in the large refugio. Refugio has little amenities. Showers only hot in the morning and late afternoon. Friendly staff and amazing views. Options for cabanas in the form of domes as well. Seems to have a lot of place.
Report Check-InWe arrived late in the afternoon and the owner-manager was friendly and helpful getting us settled and going. Hot water in the showers from 9-11 am and from 7-9 pm. Clean toilets and showers. The refugio, something between a kitchen and a living room has no running water, empty vending machines and it's the only area, with decent wifi (in a perimeter up to approx. 20 metres). It was very quiet as it is still low-season at time of writing. Beware of dog poop scattered around the place! Nevertheless, a nice place to stay.
Report Check-InWe stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. We paid 5,000 CLP per person per night. The surroundings are quiet and it is only 2km from the beginning of the Laguna Cerro Castillo trailhead (about a 30min walk). There is an excellent “refuge” with plenty of plugs, a sink and cooking area and vending machines as well as pinboards with lots of information about the national park. There is a shower and toilet block, with 2 showers and 2 toilets per gender. The hot water is only on at certain times but the hot water is reliable and the showers are very hot with good pressure. The toilets and showers are also very clean. You can also get a good view of Cerro Castillo from this campsite. No WiFi or signal at this campsite. Would recommend.
Report Check-InGood place to stay. A good place to cook but without stove, you need to use your own. No much wind protection, no wifi, hot showers. Paid $5000 pesos/person.

Bom lugar pra acampar. Otimo lugar pra cozinhar mas não possui fogão nem fogareiro, você precisa usar o seu próprio. Pouca proteção ao vento, sem wifi, duchas quentes. Pagamos $5000 pesos/ pessoa.
We stayed two nights at this campsite because it’s a good place to stay ! Hot water in the showers and clean toilets. There is a large room with chairs and tables. You have to have your own equipment for cooking because there is only a sink. The tent sites are on grass and there are some trees for shade. We paid 10000 pesos for two for a night in a tent without a car. The campsite has two spa : 20000 pesos for 1h.
Report Check-Innice camping but the the common place for cooking was very cold. well placed for climbing around villa cerro castillo
Report Check-InKaren is really nice and helpfull. No wifi and no payment on credit card for camping. Not much protection from wind and sun. Free berries.
Report Check-InAverage camping with a lot of space but nor much shadow. Clean bathrooms and big common areas, you need to use your own equipment. 5000 pppn. Owners put our cooling elements in their freezer for us.
Report Check-InReally lovely campsite with very clean showers and bathrooms (5000 pp in a camper). There’s hot water from 8-11am and 6-9pm for showers, wood heated and some of the best we’ve had. There’s a kitchen and dining area, but also sink outside for dishes etc. It wasn’t too windy when we stayed and we also had breakfast outside the next morning at one of the picnic tables. They also have a few friendly pups. Highly recommended!
Report Check-InWe stayed for 2 nights. 5000p.p. She said the wifi isn't working at the moment (to slow).
Report Check-InIt was 2200$CL/kg and the day after at 6pm. I said it’s too late and too expensive. She said ok so at 11am for 2000! :)
Really nice woman.
Nice lawn field for tents. Could have more trees to protect from wind and rain. Wi-Fi works poorly... Really nice and clean toilets. Big and comfy kitchen and dining room with fire place, still you have to use your own gas and burner.
Report Check-InOwner really kind, put on the fire for hot shower immediately for us. We payed 8.000 pesos for 2p in a campervan. 4 clean separate toilets and 4 clean separate showers. It was extremely windy but in the huge shelter with tables, chairs and sink it was nice. Place looks pretty with lot of cabañas. They are still improving the place.
Report Check-InNice big grassy camping area with great view. Good eating area. Wifi works okay sometimes. Hot showers in the morning and night. 4000 pp
Report Check-Inthe other campsites were closed or full so we came here. best showers in a long time (wood heated) tent sites nice, carcamping not that much, because you have to camp on a dirt patch. 8000 pesos 2 people and car. wifi around their house. rent the hotpot for additional 10'000!
