Description

ADMIN NOTE: No overnight camping allowed, please respect the wishes of the locals.

If you ask the 'guardafauna' park guards who drive around in the white 4 by 4's and live in the house nearest the sea to the right of the restaurant here, they'll let you stay and you can get an early morning high tide to see the Orca's. Depending on the time of year it might be better to see them at Punta Norte, I think the guard there would let you stay too.
There's toilets here and they have a tap for potable water outside and in their kitchen we could use as the bathroom sink water is not potable.
Really friendly guards, I'm sure if you needed electricity or something they'd let you use their house. Just don't eat anything visibly or leave the trails onto the beach. Restaurant wasn't open when we were here.

Had a long chat with the ranger here in Spanish and he said they are cracking down on camping so no way to camp there. He also mentioned iOverlander he was nice and shared stories of all the excuses people tried but camping was a no go, even in dead of winter with no one around.
Ended up driving 80k back to the municipal camp site in the town on peninsular which was unlocked and free

Windy, but friendly place. armadillos, like cats!

Report Check-In

We arrived around 7pm, after spending the whole day watching the shore. We had a nice chat with the two rangers in their hut, but they told us, they cannot allow us to spend the night in the parking lot with our mobilhome. So we went to the place “Valdes Million Dollar View“ where we spent two nights without anybody bothering us.

Yes! we saw orca's here! the guard is really nice and let us stay but we had to promise not to put this spot on some sort of website for campers. it was not this app he mentioned. so if you are there and want to sleep have a nice chat and ask for permission. there was also another overlander who slept here. very tranquilo night. in the evening a amarillo came to visit us! be sure to walk the small trail we saw some sort of amarillo,a snake and some kind of giant rabbit.

Great spot for a night in Peninsula Valdes. You have to ask the guarda-fauna to stay but he's very nice so normally there is no problem to stay. You have toilets but be careful with the water it is not potable. Great sunrise in the morning. If you're lucky you will see an orca.

Report Check-In

Ranger allowed overnight stay. Its make journey to porte norte easy if high tide is early in morning.

Report Check-In

As we asked the friendly old ranger if we could park here over night he told us that it is not forbitten to stay here and showed us the fasilities and his private portable water supply we could use. The spot itself has rare wind protection but offers a great sunset and sunrise view just top of the sea elephant colony.
