Description

Pandora Forest when you see the sign, you have arrived A place worth visiting. Remote and magnificent.

The road to get here isn't the easiest, but we managed it without any issues with our Citroën Jumper, a 2WD. It's narrow and rugged, and even trucks and buses take the same route. We just had to take our time :)

The spot to park your vehicle is right along this small road with very little traffic. There's a small parking area in front of the sign. Edgard, the guide, will show you around the area, and you can enjoy the fantastic terrace and toilet/shower facilities.

They offer several outings:
- Vertical Hills: The Colombian Avatar. Unmissable and breathtaking.
- Cueva el Oro: The most famous one.
- Cueva La Trônera: Immense.

Each activity is around 60,000 pesos, and the price also depends on whether you choose to have a meal on-site or not.

The team is incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and lovely. We had one of our most beautiful moments here in Colombia.

See our review at the camera/sightseeing. Beautiful place but way too expensive.

Slept at the parking outside the property. Safe and quiet

Possibly to put a tent, rent a room or park on the parking with a van. Out 2 motorcycles have been 2 nights on the road without issues. Pandora Bosque a wonderful hike. Other hikes possible. Food is great, good wifi and cold showers. Best to make reservations during weekends. See details below. This is really only known by locals.

As described below, when you see the “Pandora” sign you have arrived. Don’t rely on Google as it places the point of arrival a few hundred metres shy of the actual location and didn’t show the road at all - not reassuring when you are traveling in the dark! The parking area is not at all level and we were only able to prevent a brain thrombosis while sleeping there by hogging most of the available space with our lone vehicle to be able to level out. We checked in with Edgar the night before and the tours begin at 8:00 am. We arranged to do the Colinas Verticales hike with other guests staying at the facility. The hike was led by Bro, who is friendly and knew the way but spent most of the time taking endless photos of the hikers. The hike was quite slippery and muddy in spots, pulling the boots off hikers that had gone in too deep, and is fairly strenuous. The tour is in Spanish only and doesn’t provide a whole lot of information. We were charged 100k COP per person for the guided hike and lunch, which seemed slightly steep in relation to the cost of living in Colombia but we were happy to support the endeavour. It was nice to have both bathrooms and showers available but as noted below, the water is cooold!
Go visit! It’s pretty cool and the scenery on the way in and out is spectacular too

Wow, wow and wow again!
This place is really magical and not overrun with tourists (yet).
The place to park the camper is a small sloping gravel area, nothing special. The other facilities (toilet, showers, lounge area) are also rather simple. But the important thing here is the Pandora Forest and it is simply stunning! It is not allowed to explore nature without a guide, although that makes sense here! There are different activities (caves, rock maze, forest etc) and each costs +/- 60k per person. You can do 2-3 such activities per day. Not cheap but definitely worth it!
All guides are locals who have an opportunity to earn good money here and, without exception, everyone was super nice!
Ah and yes the road is (very) bad! But doable for our 7m sprinter with 2wd, but it takes a lot of time!

Magical place with very friendly and engaging hosts. Edgar and his family ensure a pleasant stay and his brother Bro is a great tour guide. It had rained overnight and in the morning, so the Pandora tour was very wet and muddy. But no problem with the borrowed rubber boots. After a delicious lunch we went into the cave (Gold), which was also a slippery but exciting affair. By the way, the shower that followed was very cold 🥶 we were able to stand directly below the Pandora sign with our Unimog. great experience and highly recommended!
