Perfect drinking water that appears to come from a glacier according to people who were around. Good taste, no health problems the days afterwards.

We checked this out but didn't like the look of the water, maybe we weren't quite in the right place but it didn't look drinkable to us. Instead we drove to the YPF in Tolhuin which has potable water at all the pumps out front and they let us fill all our tanks for free.

Clean water from a pipe out of the wall. There is a yellow small hut-like construction where the pipe is. We filled our tank with a 20 l canister. So my husband had to go multiple times. While he was doing this at least 6 locals stopped and filled their 6l bottles and/or 20l garafons.

there's a 2nd pipe just up the road that seems to also be popular with locals for water.

Report Check-In

It's a pvc pipe from the wall. It looks like a sewer canal, but a lot of other people are filling up their jugs of water, too.

Tasty water, great pressure, a lot better than almost all showers around here ;)

it may seem silly but we highly suggest filling up as much water as you can if you're headed to Ushuaia. the water in Ushauia is not potable and many locals suggest only drinking filtered or bottled water. we wish we knew this.
