Something not right?

Description

This place should be a Mecca for those on motorcycles. The go to place in Chile.

Designed and built by an Adventure Rider who understands what riders need. Great accommodation (camping for those that want to), hot showers with lots of pressure, parking for motorcycles, BAR (draft beer on tap), laundry, great food if you want or you can use the kitchen and even a workshop so you can service your bike (even stocks oils).

All this situated just outside Pucon amongst trees next to a salmon filled river with lots of great riding within easy reach. Everything from easy sealed roads, through to dirt and challenging trails. Chuck in a couple of volcano's, lots of lakes, rivers everywhere and you have some of the best riding in the world to enjoy. Something for everyone.

A new and modern facility geared specially to motorcyclists. Camping and hostel rooms available. Secure parking for motos. Breakfast and dinner available, kitchen and huge grills available, full bar, large deck over a beautiful river, big fire pit. We stayed here several nights and loved the setting, fellow moto-travelers, and the super-helpful staff. Check it out!

Latest Check-Ins

I think it may be good place in season but we (a Brit couple on one bike) turned up and there was just one other guy there.
Christian, the owner, talked relentlessly about his trip even though we wanted to talk about OUR upcoming trip. He also charges for EVERYTHING and has a lot of fussy rules. No coffee or alcohol in the room. No food in the room. No outside food or drink. Don’t feed the dog. Don’t pet the dog, ffs!
I can imagine a wild weekend there if there were loads of bikes there but there was no atmosphere when we went. And a drunken night there would cost a fortune.
The other guy was European and shocked by the prices. He and we were travelling for months and never went back. We went back to Pucon and stayed lakeside. Great vistas, great bars and restaurants, lots of other travellers and bikers. Much better and much cheaper than Motocamp.

Alright. The place in itself is really comfortable and in a great spot near the river, good safe jump 7m above the fresh water. Super modern, super comfy.
Breakfast included. Forbidden to bring your own alcohol.

9500 to pitch a tent.
23,000 for a dorm bed.
2000 for Heineken 355ml.
2500 for corona 355ml
5000 for draft beer (wasn't working when we got there).
13,000 for dinner.

Beware of all the hidden costs. For instance, you sign up for Kayak and think the beer they give to you during the activity is included. Then at the end you see 3000 cpl for a 355ml Corona.
Also be mindful that everything proposed to you seeming like it's free will actually be charged. Not that it shouldn't be charged but mentioning it would be nice.
Hot tub is actually 30,000 for example even if it might seem free when proposed to you.

Also NY diner ended up being 28,000 instead of 20,000 agreed upon. Didn't feel like arguing anyway.

All mentioned above is the reason for the absence of iOverlander review of this place since few years even if it's full of motorcycle travelers who in their vast majority are using iOverlander.

This place is the only place to stay if on a motorbike and staying at Pucon. While there are many options for accomodation in the area, this is designed just for motorbike travelers and everything about it it built around this aspect. My wife and i were travelling " Two Up" and stayed here for 5 nights; Christian that has built the camp is a world traveler ( as well as archetect) having visited more than 200 countries. We camped and the cost was 9000 pp, there is plenty if room for camping as well as 4 bedroom hostel type accomodation. There is a kitchen were you can pay around 10000 for a great meal or use yourself. There is a bar with beers around 5000 as well as a BBQ area if you want to cook your own meat. There is washing facilities as well as a workshop and a river you can swim or fish in. The staff are great and can provide heaps of info on rides in the area. The showers are hot and place is extremely clean.
Out of all the places we have stayed during our travels this would be the best

MotoCamp Pucón is an "Event Center" designed by a RTW motorcycle biker / architect who spent almost 5 years on the road and traveled 135 countries during his trip. It brings together all the experiences he had in over a thousand places (hotels, lodges and campsites) where he stayed.

MotoCamp Pucón was opened to the public on September 18, 2016 and is absolutely new in all its senses. It is located on the Liucura River, just 12 km from the city of Pucón, in the Region of Araucanía in Chile. It offers state-of-the-art facilities with an architectural design that blends with the environment.

MotoCamp Pucón is built with native wood from the area plus metal structures that resembles and feels like being living on a warehouse or workshop. It has dozen of details related with motorcycle parts and accessories such as sprockets, motorcycle chains, pistons and many others that are used as door handles, wardrobe and helmet hangers, etc.

The scenery includes an spectacular view of the Liucura river and a beach shore next to it. Surrounded by volcanoes and pristine lakes such as the Villarrica vulcano, the Caburga lake, the Villarrica lake, the Colico lake; it offers many trips for the day to visit dozens of attractive spots and look-outs.

There are two types of accommodations available. A hostel with 4 rooms with 4 beads each and a campsite with lots of shadow, clean running water, plenty of electrical outlets and night illumination. It has 10 showers available (5 for girls, 5 for boys) with plenty of hot water and pressure 24 hours a day. The kitchen is available for everyone to cook their own meals and a 5 square meters BBQ is waiting for those steaks. A daily bonfire is available after 8 PM for everyone to gather around and tell stories of trips, adventures and to share information and tips about routes and places to visit.

The bar offers a selected selection of hand crafted beer from the area that is poured by a unique beer tap made from a 1985 Kawasaki Ninja 600 engine. Our "toy" has become the main attraction by travelers seeking a place to share a cold one among other road devourers.
