Beautiful place! The dirt road in isn’t bad. Once your turn right into the campground, it’s rough, but just go slow and pick your line. We were fine in our AWD ‘99 Safari van.

There was a camper with a generator that ran all night- looks like he works on the gas lines. Other than the generator, it was nice and quiet. Great sunset while sitting on the dock on the lake. There’s a beaver and a couple of loons to watch.

By morning the generator was off and it was extremely quiet and peaceful. Make sure you pack out what you bring in!

Cheers!

Report Check-In

Road is muddy when it’s raining and the last part of the road is very rough with lot of potholes. High clearance recommended. Only one other camper was there. Seems like CG is abandoned as grass is high. Quiet and only few mosquitos. Added picture of road condition.

Report Check-In

the road is on very good condition, but the last 300m left to the Campground are worse, do not go by rain, but if its dry it is ok, also for 2×2, we saw normal passenger cars, places are nice, some with sea view, firepits, pit Toilette, tables, many birds, no mosquitos

Report Check-In

nice small rustic campground. no problem getting my 19 ft travel trailer here with my two wheel drive truck even though the road is deeply rutted just before the campground.

Report Check-In

The first part of the road is in good condition. But the last part which takes you to the campground is bad. I wouldn't recommend attempting this is a low clearance vehicle, especially if it has rained recently.

The campground itself is basic but clean. Very quiet. Some service on Bell. No service on Rogers.

Report Check-In

The route in is a dirt road. The last stretch before the recreation area had large muddy potholes and deep tire ruts filled with muddy water.

The rec site has a booming mosquito population that’s hard to escape because the sites are wooded.

It’s away from the road, and we were alone, so we let our dogs play while we are inside the camper, and then left.

Report Check-In

Not a bad spot of it's dry.

Wet when I arrived and the road is filled with potholes and mud. I made it in a small car, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Cell signal!

No firewood here, as reported earlier.

Several other vehicles have come through on the evening. A couple guys stopped to fish. A couple others only stopped for a few minutes.

A Germán-plated VW van came in just before sunset to camp.

Report Check-In

Not a bad spot. Concrete picnic tables can be cold to sit on. No firewood available as reported earlier.

Road in was wet and muddy when I got here. I made it in a small car, but not easily and I wouldn't recommend this site if it's wet and you don't have a capable vehicle.

Seems to be a popular spot for fishing. Four trucks have come through since I arrived.

One other camper, a German-plated VW, pulled in a little before sunset.

Report Check-In

Nice Rec Site. The lake is still covered in rotten ice and there is snow in many spots. Did a large cleanup of garbage and empties. Signs of 'Beer and burn my camp chair parties'. Moose skulls and Elk legs rotting. Road muddy but not too bad.

Report Check-In

Road is really muddy after rain. DON'T GO THERE WITH A NORMAL CAR. We did and we regret it..

Report Check-In

Muddy road, but I liked staying here. Access to lake and nice camp spots. I enjoyed it!

Report Check-In

Middle of nowhere, fire rings and 5 level campsites

Report Check-In

Only 6 sites, all with tables and fire pits though, decent pit toilet. Plus a huge picnic shelter and a brand new dock on the lake. Props to the local energy company funding.

A bit muddy and rutted coming in, and sites are well used - hunting crowd from the looks of it. Reasonably clean though. Solid 4G Telus and Bell service as noted. Chop your own wood.Definitely worth the price (free!).

Report Check-In

Great spot. Quiet. Lots of mosquitoes. Rained a lot so the road was quite muddy

Report Check-In

Nice place for free. Thanks BC! Firewood for free. Great Lakeview but Moskitos here. Thanks Thermacell not for us.

Report Check-In

Great place, we were lucky to see five bears within a km of the camp site, so remember to not leave any food unattended.

Report Check-In

Full with hunters end of September!
Nice place though.
If full, there's an old quarry opposite the gas plant.

Report Check-In

Wow, this place is beautiful. There are a few rough spots in the road, but just go slow. I was a little skeptical when I passed the gas plant on my right, but keep going a while, follow the road around and you'll find the rec area. There are a bunch of great campsites. I got here in the dark and can't wait until morning when I can have a look around. The stars are magnificent and I'm hoping to see the Northern Lights tonight. There's also great phone reception (Project Fi).
Thanks for this suggestion OP! This is why I love this app.

Beautiful sites, even has a shelter. It was rainy and accordingly quite muddy. No problem to get there, just our van needs now a wash😉

Report Check-In

About 5 km away from the highway on a gravel road, but is pretty and is worth it.

Report Check-In

Very nice campsite with large sheltered area for cooking. The water in the lake is a bit brown and the "beach" are was full of rubbish so not really ideal if you are looking for a swim.

Report Check-In

Adequate camping spot for overnight stay. Picnic tables, pit toilet and very secluded.

Report Check-In

Nice small campground. It is off the main road and quiet. We are in a car and if muddy it would be difficult to get here.

Report Check-In

Nice place to free camp. The 5km road in is all gravel but well maintained. We drove 15-20 MPH. We were driving a 35 foot Bounder MH with a towed car and there was plenty of room. The only slight issue was a large wet and muddy spot in the road just before the campsite. We plowed through it and made it safely though. The campsites are just above Duhu Lake which provides a beautiful sunset location. Surprisingly we had 3 bars of cell service.

Report Check-In

Follow "South Sikanni Road" for 5 km to the Duhu Lake Recreation Site. It's a realy great and free User-Mantained Campsite with Pit-Toilet, Firerings, Picknick-Tables, a small Boatlaunch for Kajaks and a Shelter.
