Description

Really cool place to camp. It is right next to the river and a real George of the Jungle style thing. Trucks might not fit but 4x4 campers will be okay. Nothing here except a few benches and tables from a by gone era. We paid 20 poses per night. River is good for swimming and watching the locals going across the river by boat. Staff were very friendly and nice.

Latest Check-Ins

The road is closed by the locals because of some problems with the government. Nobody can pass :(

Report Check-In

I think the owner of the place changed. There was no nice family, just a young couple. They told us that there are a lot of Zapatists around and that it's dangerous to stay here. It had a schild of the EZLN and some zapatistpaintings on the walls. Because of my bad spanish i couldn't find out more. We left and went to Palenque.

Here be mosquitoes.
(Stunning scenery though, and the lovely family caring for the property refused any payment!)

Sweet spot ! Paid 40 pesos for two and the jeep to camp. Big rig WILL fit. Beautiful turquoise lake and lots of room to park in the rain forest-esque ambiance.
