Description

Bit hippie hostel/camping with campground, which I found nice. Payed $5000 per person per night in a tent. Good bathroom facilities and average kitchen. Shadowed places and chilled common area.
Staying in the dorms is $7000/8000. Potable water. Cheapest place in town we found. Owner is friendly and will give you tips about what to do if you like.
Not in the center, so it's just a little walk to open fields for amazing stargazing!

10k pesos chilenos ($10 USD approx.) for a bed in a shared dorm for 10 ppl. It’s just 4 blocks away from the main plaza. Wifi worked well when we were there.

Plus: there’s a big kitchen/fridge available, potable water, very clean bathrooms, nice showers with good pressure, common spaces, space for bikes, a ping pong table, nice space for camping under some trees with chairs and tables around (didn’t ask the price), nice working/chilling/eating tables inside a big common space with a book exchange, tv, couches and many sockets to charge stuff. Lady running the place is nice and at 11pm all noise prohibited. We travel on bike and found this place great! We loved hanging in the couches under the trees!

The shared room is surprisingly super chilled and has lockers for you to store your valuables. We spent there 3 nights and everyone was super respectful and considerate. You need your own lock for the locker :)

Good place to stay in San Pedro de Atacama. 5000 for the camping and 20000 for a double room with shared bathroom. Nice owners. Good vibe here.

We stayed at the camping one week ago and asked only for showers : 2000 pp. Hot&clean

Maybe the best price in city, dorm bed 7.000pp. Poor wifi, ok kitchen, ok bathroom and good bed. Very friendly staff and owners. Near main street.

6000CLP for camping. Tried going with the 5000 listed previously here, but wouldn’t entertain the idea unless I stayed longer than my 2 nights planned

Great option in San Pedro for 5k per person after negotiating. The original description outlines tent camping and is in the wrong location. Here is an update on the overlander area.

It is actually located across the street behind the hostel.

Big Rig friendly with shaded areas for rigs 2.3m high and under.

Kitchen w/ 2 sinks, oven and 4 burners.

2 hot showers and 1 toilet.

Good wifi that reaches throughout the property.

Plenty of plugins in the covered parking area.

Overall still expensive compared to... well everywhere. But it’s definitely one of the best options in town.

We got here after trying 4 other campsites. It was exactly what we looked for! They have small complex for campers on the other side of the road. It has WiFi, hot showers and equipped kitchen. You can also choose to go hangout in the hostel and use the facilities over there.
The staff is very nice and speaks good English. Price 5,000 CLP pp.

We stayed one day and one night in our car over by the cabañas. They charged us 6000 pp. They have really nice hot showers and a kitchen for people to use. The WIFI was spotty and unreliable.

Hostel with camping ground for tents attached to it. We were directed to the camping ground on the other side of the road, where you can park and camp with big rigs and has some cabanas. This other side has its own kitchen and separate wifi (yaay), but the bathrooms are on the main site. The main site is really busy but the other site not so much, which we liked. Showers solar powered but never warm, at no time of day (and we tried a lot). Not super clean either. Staff friendly though, and water is potable. 5000pppn, so really cheap in comparison to the other options in town.

Camping for 5000pppn. Campsite was very cramped. Small kitchen for many people but clean-ish. Wifi was horrible and non existing half the time. Very small parking area.
