Description

Camping not far from the main road but nevertheless in the middle of nowhere. The last 2 km are gravel road, but in good condition, big rigs won't get problems.
Very quiet with a lot of shady spots under the trees. The restrooms are clean with toilet paper and the showers are warm. There is a small restaurant and bar, where you can have basic meal and a cold beer. This is also a day use area for lokals with a pool that cost an extra fee. When we were here, there was only a couple of other people. There are wood tables and benches in different states of repair, but ewerything is well cared for. We can highly recommend this place. The friendly owners speak also german. Price: 22 reais pp for camping. At the entrance you first have to pay 7 reais pp for the day use, the remainig amount they charge later. The camping is closed in juin and july.

Really nice place for some peace and quiet camping. But weekends during the summertime might get loud.

Great parking with lots of green. Water and electricity on site. We stayed here while waiting for our pet paperwork to clear.

Bathrooms could be a bit cleaner, but showers are hot. WIFI best if you park close to their home and the bathrooms.

Someone said the road was steep to get here, it wasn’t THAT steep. If you’ve traveled Pan-America, you’ve definitely done worse than this one. The steep part is paved, too.

Owners are nice. 30pp per night.

Very nice, clean, green place, lots of trees for shade, loved the huge swimming pool! Clean showers and toilets with paper. electricity and water on site. Most friendly staff. Paid 35 RS pP for the night and 18 for pool use. Pool closes around 7 pm and opens around 8 am. By the way: those 2 miles gravel road are partly VERY steep, it is doable with a regular vehicle but big rigs might have difficulties.

Very nice grassy campground with pools, BBQs, tables, shade, electricity, pretty good WiFi and shelters (extra charge). We arrived Saturday afternoon in the rain. We were not surprised to find the gate locked closed, but (thanks to other feedback here on iOverlander) we persisted. The neighbor (in the house a little above the access road) called mr. Behne Jr. and she was instructed to find the key in mr. Behne's Sr. house, below.

Pools are empty (end of season), but with the temperature barely 22C, that's okay.

Very quiet (obviously), apart from the pretty healthy roosters in the henhouse, who start 'work' at 4:00 in the mornings.

Stayed 4 nights, paid 22 per person per night and they never mentioned the use of the shelter.

Excellent camping, good infrastructure. We went there not only to stay overnight, but it is also a nice location for rock climbing in Rio Grande do Sul (sandstone walls up to 30 m). The price for the camping is 22 R$ (November 2018).

Closed in June and July. First notice of this comes only a few meters before the entrance. Bad that this was not indicated on all the ads on the main road before.
