Description

a Hostal with everything one would expect. hammocks, fruit trees, two kitchens. really hot showers. the downside is the poor area for parking if you want to sleep in your vehicle. price is 22,000 cop p.p for camping/overlanding, 32,000. the guest house, has a much better area for overlanding.

This is our first “official” hostel! They have breakfast in the morning (15,000 pp) which includes, coffee, orange juice, toast, fruit and entrees I think differ depending on the day (we had French toast and eggs)! They also have a washer and a DRYER! (25,000 per load) we slept in our camper out in front but their have nice rooms and super clean bathrooms!

Blanca is what makes this place unbelievably special! She will help you with whatever you need and made us feel so welcome from the second we arrived! They also have a small store with basic items (pasta, wine and beer? Pasta sauce etc)

Before arriving you need to call them since the spade for “overlanders” at the hostel is small. Their office is open from 8-5 so if your going to arrive after that you need to call them.

Clean hostel with kitchen and pizza oven and friendly staff. Slept in dorm which was 45000 a night because they didn't let me camp with my hammock.

(Note there are three iOverlander pins for the same place.) We spent two nights here and enjoyed our stay other than the rain! Paid 50,000 COP per night for two adults, one child. We didn’t buy the additional breakfast. The lawn for parking is quite small. It wouldn’t be able to accommodate a second vehicle of our size. But we were able to get level with blocks. The hostel area has great amenities and is so beautiful. Indoor and outdoor kitchens, both with stoves and sinks. Two bathrooms with (very) hot showers. Laundry is 25,000 COP/load to wash and dry, but we didn’t use that. WiFi is not fast, but it works fine. Hammocks to relax and colorful birds to watch. Caspian and I walked to use the pretty pool one morning. Two nights was not nearly enough to take advantage of the tours and hiking opportunities.

Stayed here for two nights, parked the car inside the fenced area. Extremely friendly staff, they have a washer and also a dryer. You can purchase food and other items, they also offer food (very tasty).
We highly recommend this place!

Great spot.

We came on a Monday for a night or two and ended up staying till Friday. Jessica and Gilbert are the staff and treated us really well. They became our friends. Gilbert speaks good English.

What others have said. Peaceful, nice kitchen, clean bathroom with endless hot water in the shower. Hammocks. Washer AND A dryer! Dog friendly. Level parking for a couple of vehicles. No height concern. Plenty of flowers and birds.

There’s a lot to do here. Coffee tour and bird watching with Gilbert. We went to the national park with Manuel and his uncle. A nice trip. Plenty of hiking on the property.

Headed south from the U.S., this is certainly one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in the 11 months that we’ve been on the road.

Enjoy!

Very Overlander friendly. A bit pricey at 22k p.p.p.n but it includes breakfast. Space for 2 vans, however only one spot is level. Camp at parking in front of hostel. Great facilities: good kitchen, clean toilets, hot shower, lounge areas and garden full of birds.

Absolutely lovely, 22k for tent per person, limited flat land however. Lovely hostel set up with use of pool at the lodge, free coffee all day. no one else here at the time- very peaceful and relaxing. WiFi also good

Lovely place to camp. We pitched up our tent in the garden of the hostel. No one else here for the entire time! Hot shower, good kitchen, free coffee. Small shop with cold beer but I would recommend bringing some supplies! Internet quite good. 21,000 PP and does not include breakfast. Lovely area to explore. Didn’t do the tour but did do one of the recommended walks and you can use the pool up at the coffee lodge.

a Hostal with everything one would expect. as far as I am aware there are no private rooms available. hammocks, fruit trees, two kitchens. really hot showers. the downside is the poor area for parking if you want to sleep in your vehicle. price is 20,000 cop p.p for camping/overlanding, 30,000. the guest house, which was closed for renovations when we visted, has a much better area for overlanding.
