Description

You can camp on the beach next to the retaining wall. Make sure you stay above the high tide mark. For 5 pesos, you can use the cleanish baños behind the little stand selling coconut by the terrace above the wall. There is also an outdoor water tap just where the dirt road enters the beach. Or for 100 pesos or less depending on your negotiating skills, you can put your tent under one of the many private palapas on the beach and use the owner's bathroom. There is free internet access in the village around a public government office (post office?).

Latest Check-Ins

Great beach camping spot, several options. Right on the beach,4x4, parking lot marked Entrada de Carro is Mx100 per night, we are between the beach and this lot. Big enough for 3 or 4 campers. Another couple in a trailer have been here a couple of weeks. Don't park too close to his palapa at the far end or you'll hear about it. Embarcadero for la lancha to Mazatlan, Mx15 one way 100m. Feels very safe, owner of the lot will let you use the banos for Mx5. He sells cocos frios. Local oysters are excellent, Mx100/dozen

It is free if you stay on the beach side of the retaining wall. The guy who owns the camping ground on the other side charges $100p to stay in his area. We wanted to stay in the parking area right before the retaining wall and ended paying him $30p. We think it could have been free but it was really odd so we paid him and only stayed one night.
