Description

Large flat gravel area to park your rig near the little settlement. We tried to find a river spot, but went for the jungle-feel. We stayed one day and two nights. Quiet and peacefull. You will be welcomed by the local schoolteacher Moises and his wife Fanny. They love to have you there. Moises is also the owner of the area. The last 15 km. of the road is gravel, a bit narrow at some places for two cars, condition is good. No problem when it's wett. Easy access for al rigs.

Latest Check-Ins

This was an unplanned stop for us, and an amazing unexpected experience. We wish we could have stayed longer. Instantly we were greeted like we were old friends. They offered us a dorm room when we couldn’t find a place for our hammock. We helped out with daily life and learned lots. It was fun to play with the kids, and dine with the family. They wanted us to extend an invitation to anyone wanting to stay, the longer the better but any length of time is ok. For free. They want to learn about new cultures and hopefully have someone teach English part time in the school, they will even provide meals. Great family, highly recommended.

Great place, I showed up on my motorcycle and was greeted with open arms and a place to stay in one of the many rooms where I pitched my tent. They have a massive yard to park in.
I spent a week.
Ideally they are hoping somone would come and teach English at the School just up the road for 2-6months. Moises said you could stay and eat for free if you are happy to help the school with English.
Great family. If I can find his contact number I will add it here.

Perfect Spot. There is a little walking track to the river from their property also. Moises and Fanny are very generous people with 10 kids. It is a nice idea to bring a little something for them. We also got a chance to meet his year 5 class and show them our house on wheels. This route is not at all touristy but beautiful so highly recommended and a great chance to meet some locals. And some cool other overlanders if you are lucky ;-)
