We stopped there for lunch on our way to the ruins. We had the BEST food for 18s por person : a soup and then pastas with vegetables with a ginger sauce. Amazing view too. For those who are going to camp in Choquequirao on your way to Machu Picchu, they can also sell you some pans, tomatoes and eggs for your next day's lunch (24s for 4 pans, 4 eggs, 1 tomato and 1 carrot). They are super friendly and there is an amazing view. Definitely recommend.
Report Check-InWe stayed at Mama Panchita campsite.
We paid 5 soles per tent and lunch for 10 soles.
We put the tent on the grass, it’s like a terrasse with really nice view.
You can find room and shops nearly this place.
We spent 2 nights at mama panchita in the center of the "village", possibility to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner you for 10s the plate. We didn't want to wear a tent and he rented a room with 3 beds for 75s at night, basic room without electricity, and with a battered floor, noises of roosters and dogs around but we were glad to have a roof over the head when it got so much raining and having a lot of wind, small shop available, very very cold shower and WC without electricity or paper. The ruins can be reached in 2 hours.
Report Check-InFirst place just before Marampata. Ive had an amazing lunch with a striking view. The owners are so friendly!
The village has many camping options. Food, beers and cigarettes available.
Beautiful views but cold at night, and everything will be very wet with dew in the morning.
Left my stuff here while I went to the archeological site in the day, which is definitely the way to do it.
Every house sells meals, all basically the same, all 10/s.
